My Dad and I watched this together when it was first aired on PBS. He asked who she was, "she's wonderful." I reminded him..my OBC recording of CATS. He remembered and said he liked her as "Abby" because he could relate to the character being in a similar situation of being a Step-Father in a large, mixed family. He loved when I took him to see the National Tour of CATS at PPAC (not with BLB of course!) I so loved those times with him when we shared our mutual love for the Performing Arts and those moments where we shared part of our inner selves. (Again, he told me how he named me after Susan Hayward and Mom agreed...good role model..). Thank you for sharing this memory that brings even more profound memories. Just beautiful. Ms BLB...my Dad and I related through you. Bless you. Miss you Dad.❤
There are no words to capture the perfection of this medley and performance, This is the best song and performance of the evening - and I venture to say any of the Bway at Carnegie Hall shows. It’s tremendously moving and deeply touching, pairing youthful vigor and hope with the wisdom of experience. And the experience of wisdom. A stunning medley and perfect casting.
