Betty Feezor did nearly 6000 of her "Betty Feezor Shows" five days a week from 1953 until 1977. amazingly, only TWO individual shows survive today since the show was broadcast live the first 20 years. Here (posted in 4 parts) is one of her last shows, which aired November 22, 1976. Betty has a slight stammer in her speech here, from a brain tumor that she did not yet know she had, and which would take her life just over a year later, a week after her 53rd birthday.

I hope there are other episodes of The Betty Feezor Show to be uncovered. How well I remember her show when I was home from school. My mother & our housekeeper would never miss Betty, therefore I saw many of her shows. When she passed away in 1978, I remember David Lawrence, Editor of The Charlotte Observer printing his tribute. I'll always remember his words: "God,I know must be pleased today. One of his best friends is with him". How true & how fitting for a most talented & gracious lady.

I grew up in Richmond, VA, and my Mom told me about Betty. She used to watch her show. There are a few recipes that she got from that show that I still make today.

I watched her with my mom and did my own "Betty Feezor show" with my play kitchen. My grandmother visited when I was about 4 and everything she did I said "that's not how Betty Fezzor does it" she got so fed up she said " I don't care how Betty Fezzor does it" it has since been the family joke when someone does something wrong we say "that's not how Betty Feezor did it! Thank you so much for posting!

I make some of her recipes to this day and now my children do, too. I hope it's heartening and healing to know that her work is still relevant today.

Wow..I am so glad I ran across this! I loved your Mother so much..I watched her everyday when I was 4 years old....up until I was 12 when she passed in 1978. She was truly a LADY & I admired her so much. ...I cannot tell you just how good it makes me feel to see her beautiful face & hear that soothing voice again. Thank you so much for sharing this with us!

My mother and I loved watching Betty. She camped next to us once and help me as a baby. Still one of my favorite star sightings.

Man, this brings back some great memories...I loved watching Betty Feezor when I was a kid. And that slide at the very top, for the nighttime version of The Price Is Right (starring Dennis James) is equally priceless. Thanks for posting this!

I read her book "A Life That Mattered". The thing that amazed me about her is her great memory in detail concerning her childhood and her work at WBT. and I met her daughter Betty Cole at a Flower show in Atlanta. She was very nice.

us kids loved betty feezor! in 1966 she and her children sat in front of me, my sisters and mom at an afternoon screening of the Sound of Music at the Carolina Theatre in downtown Charlotte. THAT was a star sighting, for an 11 year old boy!

My mother used to film her shows in the early sixties. She had a collection, along with Jack LeLane.

Joe, HOW did your mother film Betty Feezor's shows in the early 60s??? of the 5,800 shows my mother did over 24 years, only 3 are known to exist.. if there is anything else out there, I'd certainly like to know about it! thanks, Bob Feezor

There is a website called BT Memories. You see a slide photo of that title. You can ask the website holder, Reno Bailey about it.
