Here cause the new Fallout show just came out and this song came out in the 2nd episode. It reminded me of all the fond memories I have playing fallout.
Games can do a lot to introduce kids to culture. I probably wouldn't have ended up studying history in uni if it wasn't for the encyclopedias embedded into Age of Empires and Age of Mythology.
@@st33lf1st Whaaat. It really is a brilliant song about how a woman can't stand men because they're obnoxious yet irresistible. I find it very whimsical.
Just a reminder this song isnt a "anti men" or "hate men" song. Its a "Find a good/right man and hold on to him" song. Just because a song talks about negative traits that SOME, not all, men have doesn't mean its anti man.
@@scorpionic-night The people that love the song and understand what it's saying. The people that comment how terrible the song by claiming it supports or promotes sexism twords men.And also you since you replied.
i love the old 50's and 40's music fallout brings,i love 50's music, and 60's,it makes me feel good,i love walking through the wasteland listing to them
I've always listened to 50s and 60s music. my mom brought me up on it but I didn't recognize any songs except the Dion and the Belmont's. But I laugh literally every time I hear this and Crawl out through the fallout. Too funny. I'll kiss those radiation burns away lol
LYRICS: Girls! Girls! Watch out! Watch out! There's a two legged animal running about If it smokes a great big cigar And it hangs around at a bar If it tells the biggest lies, wears the loudest ties It's a man If it acts just like a crossed patch Has a face with whiskers that scratch If it's stubborn as can be, mean and ornery It's a man It if walks, if it talks If its habits are a little bit peculiar If it brags and tries to make you think it's wonderful Be on the lookout, don't let it fool ya But if it makes the moon up on high, More than just a light in the sky If it kisses you and you find you like it too GRAB IT! It's a man If it whistles each time you pass, Owns a car that runs out of gas, Then it's that you get hip, better watch your step It's a man If it acts just like it's the boss When it knows that you are, of course If it gets a little rough, thinks it's very tough It's a man It if walks, if it talks If its habits are a little bit peculiar If it brags and tries to make you think it's wonderful Be on the lookout, don't let it fool ya But if it's kneelin' down on one knee Sayin' darling please marry me Then don't hesitate, better name the date and then GRAB IT! HOLD IT! HANG ONTO IT! For It's a man
It's coming back in something marvelous, called "Fallout" a videogame setted in a post-nuclear apocalyptic USA that has stayed with the 50's 60's American dream, imagine what sounds in the game's radio... They are showing the youth this wonderful music and culture.
I don't honestly get how people can take this as misandry. at first it seems like it's putting down men, but if you listen to the whole song and listen to the lyrics, it isn't. It's saying there are men who are dirt bags who will lie and cheat, but there are also men who are kind and caring, and is warning women to be wary of who they choose. It isn't generalising men, it's saying that men come in all kinds. nothing misandristic about it.
I guess people just have a hard time listening to lyrics. Considering the fact that most heard it while shooting up raiders and synths, I'd say we could cut 'em some slack.
+Player Slayer Meh, it's nothing but petty retaliation over all the feminist crap that's escalated over recent years. If that hadn't been the case, everyone would see this for what it is, simple fun poking with a little egde and no hateful agenda.
+Beatie G God damn, I hate Synths. I'm okay with fighting a deathclaw (as long as I got big ass weapon and some power armor) I'm alittle okay with fighting a mirelurk if I got big ass weapon. I'm marking "Synths" off my kill list. And staying away from the institute.
+Player Slayer That makes two of us. The song takes a few jabs at men, but in the songs context they're playful jabs that make the song all the more sweeter in my opinion.
+aakksshhaayy bethesda making young people discover great sons from the 50's (my favourite for now it's "Right Behind You Baby" (Ray Smith) it reminds me a lot to the Jailhouse Rock (Elvis)
Me in the car omw to work: "GORLS! GORLS!!! Watch out...!!!" With the shoulder shimmy too. Fallout 4 got me through Quarantine, true story. It did wonders for my mental health.
@@cherrycordiaI You'd be surprised, English isn't my first language, but I've encountered so many native English speakers who get confused or call me a smartass when I use "big words".
People are complaining about this song? Saying it bashes men or is feminist? Firstly, it was written by a man, Cy Coben, for god's sake, not Betty Hutton. And he was straight so didn't date men. Secondly, it's realistic. Men do do all those things, sometimes they're annoyingly stupid or mean and sometimes they're sweet. And sometimes they are far worse than what this song says they are. This song is about what to avoid in men. Women do find men to be strange creatures, the same as men don't understand women. There's plenty of songs that actually do bash either men or women.
havent seen a single comment conplaining about the song but like 20 saying "oh why people complain abou this" people who write that just do it for likes
I would love to live in the 40-50s wearing those large elegant suits, women dressed in those super decent and good looking dresses! I would love to see fashion having a change suddenly that would bring old feelings and atmosphere I never had to experience.
@@jackb6663 all he was saying was he likes the fashion back in the day, never said he supported no blacks and shit. Fuck you dude, youre one of those people who take the fun out of everything. Someone can like something from the 1960s and wish they were around without saying they agree with discrimination
