He says he'll call late at night and take me somewhere to dine, then staggers in and says "there's a settlement that needs our help. I'll mark it on your map."
I literally love the Fallout community. So many of these comments made me laugh, and brought a smile to my face. Hope each and every one of you is doing well. Keep being amazing, Generals.
Sometimes he thrills me through and through, sometimes he's sweet, sometimes he's true, sometimes I wish he were in another settlement that needs our help, here I'll mark it on your map.
Probably because it's a great contrast to what's actually going on in the game. You're being attacked by ghouls, and blowing the heads off of raiders while uplifting and catchy songs like '60 minute man' play. It's just such a good contrast.
@@justsomeguyontheinternet5898 it's sad cause she passed away, it's sad cause someone died, what do you mean dude, ik she lived a long life but her passing is sad because that's how human reacts to a wonderful person's death, unless you're ain't human idk what to tell you
@@imnotaracistokay Sorry if it sounded insensitive I don’t mean it too.I just meant that while it is sad that she died, at least in her life she was able to accomplish alot.Of course the later stages of her life was extremely tragic ,but after what read more about her post 70s she seems accepting of everything with her daughters not wanting to meet her and uh everything else with her career. In a way I guess you would have to call it a double edged sword while in one side she well died and never was able to have a proper ending with her children, She did eventually manage to make peace with herself with the help of religion and just accepting how things are and honestly considering the roller coaster of the life she had where she had every reason to end it prematurely that’s pretty goddamn respectable in my opinion. (Hopefully this comment got my point across well enough)
This has been on youtube since 2008, and has only accumulated 7,997 views. Now that this is on Fallout 4's soundtrack I guarantee this video will skyrocket in views. Mark my words.
+Darwin Wright-Hall Oh what a bold prediction, Nostradamus. Truly you must have the sight to predict that a song included in the soundtrack of one of the most popular, most hyped games of the year will see a surge in popularity and exposure.
+Darwin Wright-Hall yeah the Diamond City radio DJ in Fallout 4 mentions her name on the track, she was so talented what a powerful track. No music videos those days unless they song was integrated into say a movie. The Fallout series revived The Ink Spots (somewhat) many of them were alive in 2008 when Vegas was released, I bought one of their best of albums and it was really great (even though they have the same base lines in almost every song !).
Everyone tells me he's no good He doesn't love me like he should I would forget him if I only could He's a demon, he's a devil, he's a doll That man can look me in the eye And tell the biggest, sweetest lie And I forget that lipstick on his tie He's a demon, he's a devil, he's a doll Sometimes I make up my mind That I'll stop being so blind And tell him off real bad But then he turns on those charms And there I am in his arms And I forget why I'm mad I ought to tell him "drop dead!" But I keep loving him instead My momma must have dropped me on my head He's a demon, he's a devil, he's a doll Sometimes he thrills me through and through Sometimes he's sweet, sometimes he's true Sometimes I wish he were in Timbuktu He's a demon, he's a devil, he's a doll He says he'll call for me at nine And take me out somewhere to dine Then staggers in and sings Sweet Adeline He's a darling, he's a dreamboat, he's a dog I had the measles at two, the chickenpox and the flu My whooping cough was grim I had the itch and the mumps, the poison ivy and clumps To top it, now I've got him He's a palooka, he's a brute He drives me crazy, but he's cute Why do I love a guy I ought to shoot? He's a demon, he's a devil, he is a doll
"he can look me in the eye and tell me the biggest, sweetest lie" "sometimes I make up my mind that I'll stop being so blind, and tell him off real bad. but then he turns on those charms and there I am in his arms, and I forget why I'm mad." is this song about todd howard?
My husband plays Fallout 4 and every time this song plays, I start singing it. However, when she says 'He's a Doll', I say "He's an a-hole, (not referring to him when I say that). My husband just laughs at me because he knows I am being comedic. I do love this song, in fact I think it's great that a lot of old songs are played in this game. It definitely introduces this kind of music to those who have not ever heard music like this.
2214diva it got to the point that when I was singing Betty Hutton, the Andrews sisters or Bing Crosby, my whole household knew I was playing Fallout haha.
I haven't touched fallout 4 since my first playthrough, but this is seered into my brain by how often it played in part 4. I hum it word for word while playing Civ now, its so bizarre how i know every word of this love song from the 50's but its just background noise to me now
Thats just the entire fallout series soundtrack to me now. 50’s era music just lives in my head rent free at this point and my brain has a hard time discerning it from music vs background sound.
Lol this song is fantastic but let’s not pretend there haven’t been and aren’t still thousands of modern songs about a woman pining in love over a man thats no good.
Don Raye's music contributions are not simply enormous, they are epic. When I learned he and Ray McKinley wrote "Down the road a piece" way back in 1940 for the Will Bradley Trio I and all he created for the Andrews Sisters, Freddie Slack Orchestra, Merry Macs & numerous others I became an admirer of the music and its creator. Gorgeous Betty Hutton does a great job on his composition here. I can hear Anita O'Day, Keely Smith & Ella giving it a go as well. Thanks for sharing this treasure.
I know right? I'm replaying it now after not touching it in a few years and it's fantastic. I still can't believe it released so (relatively) long ago. I feel like I was hopelessly addicted to it not that long ago
here are the lyrics because i was looking for a comment with them but didn‘t find one: Everyone tells me he's no good He doesn't love me like he should I would forget him if I only could He's a demon, he's a devil, he’s a doll That man can look me in the eye And tell the biggest, sweetest lie And I forget that lipstick on his tie He's a demon, he's a devil, a doll Sometimes I make up my mind That I'll stop being so blind And tell him off real bad But then he turns on those charms And there I am in his arms And I forget why I'm mad I ought to tell him "drop dead!" But I keep loving him instead My momma must have dropped me on my head He's a demon, he's a devil, a doll Sometimes he thrills me through and through Sometimes he's sweet, sometimes he's true Sometimes I wish he were in Timbuktu He's a demon, he's a devil, he's a doll He says he'll call for me at night And take me out somewhere to dine Then staggers in and sings "Sweet Adeline" He's a darling, he's a dreamboat, he's a dog I had the measles at two, the chicken pocks and the flu My whooping cough was grim I had the itch and the mumps, the poison ivy and clumps To top it, now I've got him He's a palooka, he's a brute He drives me crazy but he's cute Why do I love a guy I ought to shoot He's a demon, he's a devil, he is a doll
+Sydney Hess +Sydney Hess oh m8 you gotta sk8 or you will h8 and only rate 8/8 and then your never getting a d8, only b8s... Wtf am I doing with my life?
I feel like I'm one of the few here who knew about Betty Hutton before Fallout. (I think I heard about her around 2009 or 2010 through a clip from some talent show. Some girl was singing a cover of Orange Colored Sky) Then Hutton appeared again in LA Noire and later on in Fallout 4 :) I drove my brother insane listening to her.... a lot xD
+TheStapleGunKid there's spots (hospitals and cannerys) with enough aliminum in them You only need to pimp out one suit of power armor, i know you've got like 11
+HolmeQweest I noticed that some of the songs from Fallout 3 are in 4. i think this one was in 3, but I heard it in 4 already. The smile just widened on my face when I heard her voice.
+GenesisFan01 Some of the songs are indeed in Fallout 3, and New Vegas as well, but this one is definitely not in Fallout 3. Was in it New Vegas maybe? I listen to the FO3 OST on repeat, repeatedly, pretty much since the game's been out.
Me: Listens to song *Hears a knock on the door* Me: Opens Door Preston Garvey: ANOTHER SETTLEMENT NEEDS YOUR HELP Me: SHIT, NOT AGAIN Then everything goes dark and i wake up, realizing i was asleep, i hear this song playing and knocking on the door.
I feel like this song would be about MacCready and the sole survivor. All the other lawful companions think he's not good enough for their friend and he's a murdering scoundrel but he's so polite and soft at times...
first time actually hearing this song on Fallout today (12/5/17. I usually have the radio off, or listen to modded music radio lists), and after watching Legends of Tomorrow, this song fits perfectly for a Damien Darhk music video tribute. I mean, it just works....
I cant believe her style ..I haven't seen anything in her biography that shows where she received her training except as a 6 year old singing for her mom in bars. Maybe she just was a savant listening to the radio back then . Being a triple threat I cant even begin to figure out how she also learned to dance and act . No wonder they were jealous of her in Annie Get Your Gun.
Imagine you're in the Commonwealth , you go to Diamond City and you visit a Factory that is infected of ghouls and you let your weapons speak , laser rifle, grenades and many others . You decide to put a little bit of music , you take your pipboy and and this appears , just delicious !
