Can you imagine living almost a century and people still want more or you. Now that's a legacy unmatched. Rest in peace, Betty. You will always be missed.
I agree with you Azra BH, she will be greatly missed. We may have lost a legend, but heaven has gained a true angel 👼. She was someone I looked up to that has a heart of pure gold.
What a treasure she was. Truly one of a kind RIP sweet lady. My Mother was 3 months short of being 100. We had her 100th planned and it was to be thoroughbred horse racing theme. So odd she had her stroke at Churchill Downs opening night doing what she loved.💕
@@SUGAR_XYLER legends do that a lot to make sure that they don't get tired or not be mobbed by fans for autograph all the time. But they are still legends because they are icons and energy.
What a beloved & amazing lady for sure...apparently Betty White wasn't supposed to cross over into 2022, her final chapter ended on New Year's Eve 2021...wow...what a life she shared with us...the infamous Betty White.
You know a person’s loved when the world is shocked a 99 year old dies. Still seemed to have so much energy, really wish she could have hit those 3 special digits, but blessed to get the time we did.
This is so heartbreaking... She had only just recently started that she was so grateful to be almost 100,and to still be in such great health. Rest in peace Miss Betty ❤
I remember seeing an interview where Betty White explained that her parents taught her very early to never be afraid of death because those who pass away finally get to discover the secret of what happens when we die. Now, Betty knows the secret. ❤️
One main correction, she wasn’t a national treasure, she was a global treasure.. I am British-Nigerian and I adored her. Such a horrible way to start the year. Thank you for being a friend………… RIP
Betty is one of those icons that people from all age groups enjoy watching and listening to. The world is a much nicer place with people like her. She will be dearly missed.
Here's something I found fascinating just two weeks ago. My 8 year old granddaughter and I were talking about different celebrities (regarding movies). She knew and is a big fan of Betty White! My Dad (80), me (52), my oldest son (32) and my granddaughter (8) are ALL massive fans of Betty White!
@JACKSEPTICEYE'S DAD DESERVED IT LMFAO This is the second time Ive seen you write this message on this thread. RU-vid wants comments to be respectful. Therefore, you violated their rule. So now I will report you.
Every once in a while a great person gets to live a great life. Almost 100 years old, she has warmed the heart of millions for decades. She was a living legend and will be sorely missed.
It's crazy right? Something about the ladies of their generation. Husband's grandmother lived to 103 and said she would do her make up and paint her nails till the day she died, woman worked until she was 90 too. Idk what was in the water back then.
We've lost a great woman today that will never be replaced. You can't lose something you never had. We all had Betty White in our lives for so long it seems like she was going to live forever. She cheered me up and made me laugh my entire life. She will always be America's golden girl.
@@haroldlawson8771 Pray for Betty because she's probably not in heaven as your supposed to know your going to heaven not think it this is why were in the end times the world thinks it can reject God and his salvation, Jesus is the only way and if you don't repent to him and turn from sin your not allowed in heaven no matter how good you think you are:) FYI if you haven't accepted Jesus he's real not a religion You just go in a private place tell him you believe and tell him your sorry for what you think you did wrong; he will answer that prayer then start reading the bible and praying and God will tell you what to do
Gosh this hurts, her work transcended several communities regardless of their cultural background. I’m a 25 year old guy and her performance in Golden Girls will always give me nostalgia.
She had one hell of a run! A life well lived is the best any of us can aspire to. Thanks for the laughs Betty; I used to watch Golden Girls as a child & always loved the character: it used to help pick me up after a bad day at school.
She nearly invented TV, she started as a young beauty in radio, she could do live radio drama, sing.....then she had her own Black and White show The Betty White show, then produced Candid Camera with her husband. It was a funny live comedy show that the whole nation watched and was redone decades later. THEN, Mary Tyler Moore in a role, and Golden Girls. She got the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Screen Actors Guild and we was on Saturday Night Live. She was a few days of age 100. Cheers to her, beautiful, funny and a great life! Also, she did not complain on set and picked noble shows! She is in vaudeville heaven now.
Did you know she was originally cast for the role of Blanche but she told them she would prefer to play Rose because she played a slutty type on Mary Tyler Moore so she would rather play the ditzy one so people wouldn't remember her as always playing slutty roles.
An American icon who almost everyone loved. She’s a good litmus test for a person’s character. If someone you know hates Betty White, do not keep that person in your life.
First it was John Madden and now Betty White, we lost a great actress with a beautiful personality and a great TV announcer that announce Football TV will never be the same.
@@SUGAR_XYLER Rest assured that no one will ever say anything should start charging double that for your autograph. It’s not like they’re gonna turn around & sell yours.
Betty White hasn’t really died. They say you die twice. When your body fails and when someone has said your name for the last time. Betty White will live forever in our hearts and minds.
Her positivity and her kindness will be forever with us. Her ability to make us smile and forget what ever may be bothering us even if just for a little while will not be forgotten. She will be sorely missed.
The news just sickened me when I heard it this morning. Every time I saw her name trending in the past I got a lump in my throat, and I think countless others did as well. Betty was just a huge ball of LIGHT and LOVE in this increasingly darkening world. I felt as if I had lost my own grandmother. She will be missed by soooo many that felt the same way. May you spend eternity with your dear Allen now that you have filled all of our lives with decades of kindness and joy. RIP our dear Betty.
How’s the world going to go on without Betty White? I just expected that she’d live forever! Some things just don’t make sense and Betty dying just hours before the year is out and a few days before her 100th birthday is so unbelievable and sad….
Turn this around: look at how long she lived, and, what's more important, how she lived: she was lucky enough to spend decades doing what she wanted; a long, successful, and well lived life!
I truly don't know.. the planet will stop spinning and just burn in the ether , we loved her as a Celebrity, and there is no way we could ever survive without her 🙄
It is a bit shocking. She was in great shape for her age both mentally and physically. There were no signs of failing health. I honestly thought she was going to live well into her hundreds. This just proves that you never know anything for sure. Everything can be fine one minute and the next it's all over. The fact that she died today I think is very fitting though. It marks the end of the year and the end of an era in entertainment.
Louiebruh2 It's comical how obvious a troll you are. All caps, laughing emojis, subtlety is really not your strong point. Did you really think anyone would take you seriously?
I am old enough to remember Betty from The Mary Tyler Moore Show. I loved her then and continued to follow her career to this day. She became America’s beloved grandmother. Her passing is not only a loss for America but the entire world. Much love from Canada!
I am old enough to remember watching Password, on a regular basis, Allen Ludden hosting and Betty was a guest. She lost her beloved husband way too soon.
“When you have the best, you don’t need the rest.” -Betty White. May we all find someone who loves us as much as Betty loved her late husband. 👊🙌❤️ Now they get to be together again ❤️ She must be smiling from ear to ear right now ❤️
She is greatly missed 😭 and blessed to know her through her role in the golden girls tv show. She made my hard days working as a aide better! Thank you Betty White ❤️👼
RIP Betty! 🖤💔🖤 She always reminded me of my own grandma who had a similar positive energy and sense of humor. When you die rapidly and peacefully in your sleep at 99, can be the heart that stops beating...
She will always be in the hearts of TV viewers of all ages. She leaves a big whole in our hearts. Although not blood related we all felt like she was family. RIP Betty. Your celebration will be held in heaven this time.
Having flashbacks to 2016 when we closed out that awful year with Carrie fishers death...I don't want to go into 2022 without Betty but I'm glad she's with her beloved husband and her golden girls
She had one hell of a run! A life well lived is the best any of us can aspire to. Thanks for the laughs Betty; I used to watch Golden Girls as a child & always loved your character.
Still crying and emotional over the loss of someone so great, loving and kind. She was the best, and we could all learn so much from her and her life. I agree with Ryan Reynolds....she was 99, but it just wasn't long enough 😢 I pray she is at peace with her husband Allen 🙏 WE LOVE AND MISS YOU BETTY WHITE ❤
I literally feel like my grandmother has died all over again, Betty was the most amazing person on earth! Omg if I weren't unemployed I'd take off work! RIP Betty 💔
@@shekosheko3839 I've flagged this as spam like 5 times and it's still here.... but if I swear at a troll for being a bully MY post gets deleted. RU-vid really needs to get it's priorities worked out.
I loved her. She was such a lovely, beautiful woman. My Dad passed away just months before his 100th birthday. I wish that she had reached her 100th birthday. She will certainly be missed. I know that I will miss her. ❤️
She transcended generations with her love and passion for everything she pursued and everyone she met. Thank you for being a friend... you will never be forgotten Betty ❤️
I can't imagine everything she saw & all the changes she endured. Nearly EIGHT decades in entertainment! That is AMAZING!! Especially for a woman early on in her career. I'm so sad. I watched her on Mama's family, Maude, Golden Girls, The proposal with Ryan Reynolds and Lake Placid: and all those were in her later to senior years!! She did SOOOO much before any of that! I was rooting for her to make it to 100. She will be missed and I STILL watch the golden girls. She'll never be forgotten. What a TV pioneer!! R.I.P Betty ❤️ We'll miss you.
She is awesome in lake placid it's one of her best movies the way she feeds the baby crocs I'm just so glad I got to see her shine on the screen you knew you were in for a great laugh because Betty was in the show wonderful lady
Betty White truly was a national treasure!! Her agent said he actually believed she would never die. I think I felt the same way! 🥲 RIP precious Betty!
I always enjoyed her funny performances in various TV shows, I thought of Betty White as America's funniest little old lady grandma. In every TV role she was highly entertaining to watch. On the plus side, she did live a much longer, more productive life than many other people. She definitely stood out.
I saw Betty White a few different times on TV-show soundstages/sets in Hollywood around 2006 or 2007, and she most definitely was alert, cheerful and happy -- no signs of slowing down. She was doing something right as far as eating right and taking care of herself. Rest In Peace, Betty.
I was born in 91 basically when the golden girls finished but that always had a tv spot from 9pm to 10pm and my family always watched it every season now as an adult I grown to love the show mostly because of Betty white and how she played rose now thankfully Hulu has all the seasons and I can rewatch them over and over and never be tired of it
She indeed was such a lovely person inside and out non-political just expressive and her kindness, gentle, beautiful classiest way. She most certainly will be missed.
She was asked when she turned 90 “how do you feel inside?” ‘Inside?” She responded “like i’m still in my 20’s” Bless you and everything you gave to us Betty! You are dancing on heavens floor now 🥰
Essentially she made it to 100. Even if short by a few days. Close enough in my book. Just amazing to be able to live such a productive life for such an extensively long time-period. So many of my friends, relatives, and associates have had such comparatively short lifespans.
I was around when television was in it's infancy ,and there was Betty. At 71 myself, I always just assumed she'd be there forever. What will we do without her? Very sad. At least she has re united with her love, Allen.
There are no words. What a fantastic entertainer. Search for a compilation of Betty's appearances over the years on Craig Ferguson's show... it's pure gold.
She was loved by us brits too, she was a very special lady who played great characters in films and on tv, bringing people together from around the world with the common language of comedy.
Something everyone on both sides could always agree on: Betty White was a national treasure. Her work transcended all other divisions through love and laughter.
Absolutely devastated by Betty!s death. An amazing comedy actress and a warm, compassionate and beautiful person. She was one in a million and irreplaceable. RIP Betty. ❤️
Met her a number of times. What you saw was EXACTLY what you got. Her calling me a genius the first time I met her (2010 I believe) was truly a highlight of my life.
I just got my People Magazine with her on the front cover and telling her life story and how on Jan.17th this icon would turn 100 yrs. old. She is my favorite and I still watch the Golden Girls over and over again, never getting tired of them. If I had a wish to meet a famous person it would be between her and Kevin Costner, I would have chosen her. Forever loved and remembered in my heart, one of her many fans
R.I.P. Betty White ~ What a shock that she passed away today (12/31/2021) at the age of 99. Only weeks from celebrating her 100th birthday! She was our National Treasure. She blessed us all with her quick humor and her rememberable characters. May she make all the angels and God laugh thunderously and smile brightly in Heaven.
Betty White was always great. One of my favorite interviews I’ve heard with her was the one she did with Alan Alda on clear and vivid. She is just a great story teller and had such a great look on life. R.I.P to an incredible person.
