Allen Ludden and Betty White were one of Hollywood's most faithful couples. They never cheated on each other; nor were they ever physically abusive to each other. And they were married for 18 years; compared to a majority of today's celebrity couples who split up after a year or two of marriage. Today's Hollywood couples need to take a lesson from them.
Hollywood now is MUCHHHH different (mostly for the worse) than it was in the 20th century. Reality TV has pretty much made everything in Hollywood superficial and for publicity.
@@4seeableTV Yes, Betty was divorced twice before she married Allen, however Allen didn't divorce his first wife; she died. I think the point that the OP was trying to make is that their marriage to each other is something that a lot of today's couples should aspire to have.

Ive tried so many different ways to find true love, my extreme was actually getting to know her for a year, I thought she was the actual one... We shared secrets about ourselves, we laughed, cried, everything... We met playing a game on the internet, we spoke everyday. She was Canadian, me an American.. After a year of talking on the phone and texting everyday, we finally decided to meet in person. So id never been to Las Vegas and thats where we met. It was great at first. She'd come to the states twice a year. We were together for 5 years.... But when I could hardly walk(I'm disabled) she was at my house and I just was having a very hard time with pain.. She decided to go to las Vegas. and have fun instead of being with me. I understood, I told her she could leave I understood.. So she left to have fun with her sister-in-law and her family instead of being with me.. That was ok. But ive never seen her since. We were gonna stay friends, but now ive been ghosted. So either way.... Getting to know someone or just meet and get together.. Either way... Theres no such thing as true love. Unless youre exceptionally handsome or extremely beautiful and lots of money.. It aint gonna happen. I wish you only the best and I do hope and pray you can find someone to love you the way they loved each other. But that was back when people actually believed in love and committed to each other. Technology has whipped humans behinds. Technology has taken over the world Look at us now, all sitting behind a computer or a phone.. Either way... Its behind a screen. I'm 1year 3 months from being 60... Never thought id make it this far.. But here I am alone with my 2 faithful loving grateful cats... They dont lie, steal, cheat, or talk back or want to argue... Well 1 doesn't...lol.. Keep the faith my fellow human, maybe you'll meet the love of your life... And i wish you the best. 🍻✨💜✨

Yeah, it's not easy when we believe we found love and then the love turns out to be just another crap! You're also right about the technology, everything changed, not for good and people really were totally different back then, better... But we can't go back to that unfortunately... I wish you lots of happiness just from being yourself and with yourself only, and with cats, you can give up on finding love or it might find you itself some day... Allen seemed to be a great man, extremelykind to all! Betty added quite a talent to this planet. She was quick-witted and very intelligent! They were both humble which is one of the highest traits a person can own.
Name a more PERFECT couple than these two...I dare you. If the phrase “soulmates” had a picture beside it in the dictionary, it would be of the Luddens. ❤️ Imagine being blessed with this much talent...both of them sang and performed from a fairly early age. Allen said he would marry Betty from the moment he met her. She still speaks so fondly of their time together. True love is FOREVER!
Betty White had passed away on December of last month. My number locks are not working so could not put the year. This has been the second death since Michael Jackson that I'm looking up many things about a celebrity that has passed away. But just to comment on this video, I want to say that Betty had such a good husband and see why she did not want to marry again but still could have. She will be missed and she was such an inspiration.

I read the other day that allegedly Betty White's last word before she died was "Allen". She had previously said they were three days short of 18 years together and it was a real love story. So maybe Allen was the last word she said. I would like to think so. RIP Betty White you gave us so many years of pleasure.
This is WONDERFUL. Two of the greatest entertainers ever, and with Dinah (and the Lindens). We need more of this kind of TV nowadays ... but we need more of these kinds of people on it!

Goodness I loved Allen Ludden and Betty white so much that they were my favorite game show hosts including Barker and Rayburn. And wish Allen Ludden was still alive but at least Betty is still here and it’s was so sad when Allen Ludden passed away 😭 he was the perfect Password host for the show and Rayburn was the perfect Match game host for the show and. Man that was a long time and he was very talented man and I love his singing and Betty I love your singing so much also happy 98th birthday Betty white my lovely lady ❤️

Oh wow! You can see how much they loved each other just by the way looked at each other. Almost 100 years old and it was still way too soon. She was way too young.
😃 OMG 😍 HAL LINDEN! One of my all time favorite TV actors. I was just a little kid when Barney Miller was on, but I loved that show. When all the other kids were watching Mork & Mindy, I was watching Barney, Harris, Wojo & Dietrich. Best show ever with excellent writing & acting.
It's too bad Betty's and Allen's careers did not give them more opportunities to sing, with such wonderful voices. As a teenager, I was a guest on the Betty White Show at KRLA Channel 13.
I so hope they’re together in spirit! That was their wish...to be together again, so I certainly will not wish them to “Rest In Peace,” as that was for those who believed there was only a body in a grave & nothing more, but wish them well on their new & continued adventure in spirit! So sweet - I think a biopic about their life should be made starring Ginnifer Goodwin as Betty and her husband Josh Dallas as Allen. The two couples look somewhat alike and Josh and Ginnifer appear loving and as committed as these 2 were.
