gin40 all the real good singers always don’t get the right recognition. Look at Rachel Ferrell that woman can sang! Do you know or see her? Not a lot. Betty didn’t sell out so that’s what happens

@@blessedandfavored9242 So true. Rachelle Ferrell is an amazing singer. You don't hear a lot about her but she's very gifted and I'm sure she has a loyal fan base like Betty. I guess that's the price you pay for not selling out. You miss out on the recognition you deserve. May Betty Wright rest in peace. She will be missed.

@@tekindrahsanders3181 Idk the purpose of people trying to compare both of those woman, i just said she did a nice tribute, Mariah is my favorite singer ever and i found just beautiful that ms Wright did that, and impressive that she even toke it higher. I don't care who has the highest voice, Mariah is Mariah and Betty is Betty, both of them are DIVAS.

@@gin40 I've heard that song, i love it, and yes, she hit and sustained an impressive F7, but, if we're gonna compare, Mariah also hit that note, perhaps not too long. It's just a vocal skill, it doesn't determin who sings better.

@@carlosmoreno6079 I didn't say that it did. Music is very personal. Everyone has their preference. My favorite singers don't even hit whistle note. I prefer soulful singers like Chaka, Whitney. I prefer richer voices with higher more natural range.I was just saying that to make a point. People never gave Betty her the credit she deserves for hitting those whistle notes. When Mariah did it people,the industry forgot about other singers who did before Mariah. Singers like Minnie Rippleton. I'm not talking about the song Loving You. Minnie hit higher notes than that. Other singers who hit the same notes is a singer called Rachelle Ferelle, Chante Moore and 2 others I can't think of off hand. If I can find that Minnie Rippleton song where Minnie hit those crazy high notes I will post the link. It just bothers me when you look up highest note in a recording in The Guinness Book World Records you'll find see Mariah when others did it before her. It's the industry I know. Which is not fair. It is what it is. I'm just trying to share knowledge of other great singers that perhaps you didn't know about.
