One of the best towns in Umbria. You can bike ride to Foligno or take a bus too. Montefalco too. It has everything you need in a real working Medieval town. One of the few flat Medieval towns in Umbria. Foligno next?
I'm always astonished by your knowledge of Italy dear Ken) One of the best indeed.. I was quite impressed by everything I saw in Bevagna - first time I visited though I knew about it from the past. Stunning place, and people finally in the streets again with the summer coming... By bike would be amazing actually... I was thinking to film some bike rides in Umbria. Would you think it would be something interesting to see here? Ohhhhh Foligno is on the list...
@@StillWanderer Gubbio, Panicale to Castiglione del Lago, Spello to Villa Fidelia, Terni - too bad so much was destroyed in the war but it is flat which is a + in Umbria. You are the master of Lazio which has opened my eyes to places people overlook. Viterbo to Bagnaia and the gardens there. Nepi to Sutri. Pitigliano to Sorano to Sovana in Tuscany. I will leave Rome to you. You could spend a lifetime riding around Rome depending on your nerves. With ebikes a whole new world of riding has opened up in Italy.....the hills will be too much for most. Trevi, Todi and my favorite, Perugia, are great but you definitely need an ebike. But the itineraries you've wrote are stunning. Know most of them ... Maybe I could try with a small one..Lazio is great but too hilly ... This is one of most beautiful towns in central Italy. What a difference it makes to see people around. I can imagine what it will look like in the evening, a lot of people will come out. The Churches are beautiful. The old town looks very residential and comfortable. It must have been a challenge to walk through the town. One can get lost. I really enjoyed this tour. The churches of these small , lonely towns are always stunningly beautiful , they are amazing . This comes in my timeline because I watched your other video's. I have been in Bevagna a couple of years back during the annual town festival. Inhabitants are dressed in medieval costumes and each neighbourhood is eating together outside at long tables. It's just a few miles from Montefalco, one can visit both towns in one day.
Ciao Stroop, ohh Bevagna... good memories of that day. Didn't go to the town festival though unfortunately but I remember watching photos and info in Google. Must be truly something... all that area is just stunning. I'll upload some more Umbria towns soon.. the next just this saturday
Ciao Campanaro Trevano , I will surely visit also Foligno for sure. I visited it with my parents many years ago but still remember it - beautiful city. it's definitely on the "to do" city 🙏
Have you already filmed Spello ? Not to far from Bevagna. But I suggest to go up; at the top of the town and follow the Subasio mountain. After few kilometer (5 or 6) you find the smallest medieval borgo called Collepino... Few house, a Tower & a Church... Thanks a Lot !!! Renzo * PS: I live in Ireland (Galway) and Assisi..... :-)

A beautiful Umbrian town, Riccardo. Thank you for sharing this. Just love the mediaeval feel of the place. Spring with all the flowers is beautiful. The church of S. Silvestro is beautiful. I thought when you panned the camera at the entrance towards the middle altar, it looked like a smaller version (without the characters) of the painting Scuola di Atene. Aaah so many places to visit......

@@hrbille actually now that I remember you're right, quite true on that. Usually on very remote villages I could see a lot more, especially when few people are around. Bevagna is truly a stunning town though... remember that day very well. I maybe go back this summer in that area. Stunning indeed

Очень понравились церкви "St. Francesco", "St. Michele Arcangelo" и "St. Silvestro" с интерьерами, убранством и разнообразием архитектуры самих церквей! Интересный музей производства бумаги, а также старинная общественная прачечная! Уютные и красивые улицы, переулки, площади и разнообразные старинные здания!
