That's a pretty station at the end there! The area that crossing's in certainly seems quite a bit busier with pedestrians than I maybe initially thought it would be. Explains why the alarms are so loud - I like the combination here though. I wasn't expecting to see a video from there from you - I only heard you'd filmed Walton Street LC in Hull, nice surprise though! Great video despite the bus, as well as those people at the end touching the barrier as it raised. 👍

Boom Trainspots I've got quite used to it after filming for a few years. People give me weird looks all the time when filming but I just ignore them and don't look back lol 😉

I do pretty much the same thing tbh. I am sort of able to completely blank out everyone who passes me, and almost pretend they're not there. Avoiding eye contact mainly is how I fair on my part whilst out filming 😆

2:50 Train passing the crossing This town looks quite nice. The crossing is average for a station crossing. Gusty wind that day in Eastern Yorkshire.

I was stood near Flemingate crossing yesterday evening and jumped out my bloody skin when it went off! Funnily enough at this one I had a bit of forewarning as I heard 'click click click'(from the signal box perhaps?) then the alarm.

Yeah sometimes you can hear relays clicking in cabinets or the relay building just before the lights come on. At several half barrier crossings I've heard the relays click 10 seconds before the crossing activates, so it's a helpful pre-warning 😊

I don't think many other countries have these sorts of barriers. I guess they're good at preventing young children or animals from going onto the tracks, and also make it harder for people to climb over when they're down.
