I honestly consider Sub Rosa to be a very underrated episode. It illustrated something flawed and lamentable about Crusher's character development - she was constantly *punished* for being a mother. She wasn't allowed to have a love life. Every time she tried to indulge, she was punished or otherwise discouraged, and more or less 'strung along' by Jean Luc being her superior as well as a bit of a cold fish who couldn't quite get over her being his friend's widow. Sub Rosa illustrates just how BADLY Beverly wanted to have something for herself.
I sort of disagree, though I see your point. Jean Luc sat on his erection for Bev for a million light years. They should have just done it and gotten it over, but, there's something very arousing about a decade of teasing. Or maybe they did do it. Why do you think Picard could barely stand Wesley? "Oh, shut up, Wesley!"
She had that fling with the Trill guy who temporarily became Riker, and later became a woman. If she's not into women that's fine, but she could've had that for herself.

I would read my grandmother's sexy journal. My granny was a firecracker who looked like a Native American version of Granny on the Beverly Hillbillies and played the guitar, piano and banjo. She raised her own meat, grew her own food, heated with wood, never had plumbing in her house and she loved to dance a jig. I WISH she'd left a journal.
This is my least favorite scene in all of TNG. TNG was so good with being sexy and having characters (even females) talk about sex, but this is just so childish, which works with Crusher being manipulated, but not for Troi.
@@TaboriHK The only good Beverly ep was the one where all the crew members were slowly disappearing. It really showcased how good of an actress she is, and how much they wasted her with eps like Sub Rosa lol
