Detective Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy) is back on the beat in Beverly Hills. After his daughter’s life is threatened, she (Taylour Paige) and Foley team up with a new partner (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and old pals Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold) and John Taggart (John Ashton) to turn up the heat and uncover a conspiracy.

The trailer sold me, this film will be a worthy chapter to the beloved franchise. What made the original two movies work so well is the unique blend of unusual buddy comedy, fish-out-of-water comedy, and straight cop action. Thankfully they have retained the same tone and narrative for this sequel. This looks cool. Calling it now Kevin Bacon will be revealed as the real villain of the piece but he’s masquerading as head the LAPD.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Eddie said he doesn’t want much comedy. That exactly what he did with BHC3. it was intentional. I don’t get why he’s like that. The first two movies were so great because of the comedy aspect.

I'm still concerned because Hollywood these days puts out mostly garbage and these long-awaited sequels turn out to be trash but maybe this can be that rare sequel like Top Gun Maverick or Blade Runner 2049 that turned out really good. Yep, takes you right back to that original backseat car door slam surprise Axel Foley style of saying hello ; ) It's really a perfect setup & camera combo to let the three of them riff freely. I mean at least with their words and faces, obviously your physically limited in what you can do sitting down in a car. Of course they won't be Bouncing off the walls at this point in their lives. Ha, me neither. I'm ready for this flick. I hope they can bring back more of the old magic they once had together : )

It's only "illegal" in states governed by suits who have bugs up their asses and just want one more thing to penalize people for (extra revenue). Where I'm at in the Midwest (Indiana) it is, as you say, an art form. New York? PPfft. You have to know it well or get hit. Not sure about Illinois. I had to watch them on kodi a dodgy streaming service. Why can't Amazon and Netflix and Apple TV and all the rest just stream official films and bring films like this back to the cinema and dvd and Blu-ray. Netflix films should have only been short term over lockdown.

I'm fully cynical now with pretty much any trailer, but man this looks fun. Murphy looks fantastic and his delivery is spot on. I forgot what it sounds like for an actor to effortlessly deliver lines that sound like they just thought of them. The bit at the end about the 50/50 is so snappy I absolutely love it. Fingers crossed that this lives up to the teaser.

I don't think it's going to be a good film. Bet it's similar to a fast n furious film. Don't think they're going to have the balls to be edgy. That's what was so great about BHC 1 and 2. Another thing is bringing back old characters never works. It's been way to long and that magic isn't the same
