You're absolutely onto something, watching this in 240p is a separate experience for sure. Honestly reminds me of early RU-vid horror, where everything was in 240p.
Obscure, haunting and tormenting atmosphere (and soundtrack) not only because of the geographical enviroment, but because of the historical time and ideological system of political totalitarism. Not that it would be any different in a Latin American country under capitalismo dictatorial regimes between the 70s anad 80s.
i don't know if you can see a fuel gauge, We all don't know because of the car engine sound it produces The world hides beneath the fog, the living died, when day comes only to find you're still can't see it, all you can do is escape from them, and hides with the fog, You wanna go to more populated area? GET TO THE CITY!
This was an absolute delight to watch. The atmosphere and music really get you into the mood. I hope when then game is complete we will get a better understanding where all these people disappeared to. Thanks.
So, I"m confused. Are we going through what's left of a forest fire? Is this some kind of dream sequence? A road trip gone wrong? What's going on here?
Something terrible has happened. Apparently, local/state gov. can’t help. All people have left and you and goons are all that’s left. They control the electricity and you have to turn it back on, all while evading them. Hopefully , one day we will be given all the unknown answers when the game is completed.
There's some weird futuristic shit going on. This game feels like a Post Judgement day type of world. You're stuck in a desolated region where there's some kind of organization or a group controlling the area and they go after anyone strolling by, they control the electricity all over and run a Mining area, there's also a refinery with some sci-fi vehicles chasing you and a hill with weird red lights.
Wait what happened after finding the 3rd dam and 5th chase?? One minute you got those two weird kids in the car and the next second they disappeared and there's a jump in time they're no longer in the car and you're towing a trailer. Everytime you turn while being chased I couldn't help but yell "turn the damn headlights off!" 😂
Yeah I was kinda wondering that myself. The skip ahead tripped me out like I missed something, but it really does just jump ahead. What happened in-between @Temporal_Shade, can you tell us please?
I hope the dev adds some sort of a wiki describing the lore of the game. I'm not going to set an unrealistic expectation for them to build every information within the game, especially when it's just a single developer.
man that first 6 minutes would be so frustrating i would quit, the hard break into lights off into off road into driving away but they STILL caught you after you took multiple turns and multiple branched paths? but then they lose you after a simple right turn at 6:50? yeah fuck that. seems arbitrary
they are challenging but sometimes they can take a turn too fast and run right off the road and get stuck in the mud which is what happened here allowing me to escape easily
@@Temporal_Shademakes sense. btw that was a stylish evade of the second group. the backup into just into range of the plant and driving away back into the forest was smooth af
В конце где он в финальном городе ездил полных машин, это чисто ситуация где-нибудь в Москве или Питере, где ты пытаешься из всех сил найти себе свободное место чтобы припарковаться на машине! :D
v007 does have more content, v013 is more of a test build which is why there's no music, the car has definitely gotten harder to drive with the new physics engine, I'm still getting used to it
I guess adding the enemies shooting at the player when at a certain distance within line of sight would be a good addition and damage indicators on specific areas of your vehicle.
@@Minosprime679 Speaking of the inhuman cars idea, maybe making the headlights more like to dim or flicker the more damaged or closer to these vehicles that your car is instead of them shooting at you? Remember, because of how early in development this game is, there’s so many ways this game can expand upon. The are just one or two ideas out of endless possibilities.
@@Minosprime679 Also, when I said damage indicators, I don’t literally mean a UI - it’s supposed to be a similar kind of damage mechanic you will find in NR2003 but applied in a more subtle way. (look it up on RU-vid for that nascar racing game)
This is a demo, you understand? Even with that there is (the beginnings of) a plot that points to a post-apocalyptic setting. Bit difficult to figure out how to see it but it's there. And more than anything, this is a driving _survival horror_ that runs on how this can very well happen in real life. There is absolutely nothing that prevents someone in real life seeing you driving down a foggy, dimly lit, wooded road and deciding _"There's_ a good target for me..."
