My airpod pros got denied because of ear wax that wasn't viewable unless you used a microscope, but after a few calls they finally replaced it for free.
I’m glad I got the Sony xm4s over the AirPod’s max even though they are cheaper. Knowing Apple they would pull stuff like programming an error when you try and replace the battery yourself😂
Meanwhile Sony be denying PlayStation warranty 6 months after release cause you don’t have paper receipt(designed not to last long) of a product with 12 month warranty. Sorry we can’t tell if this 6 month old product is within the 12 month warranty without proof of purchase.
In India Xiaomi is also rejecting warranty service on simple scratches and color changes... and they won't accept it's the quality issue of the product.
The same thing happened towards my beats pro. I had to pay 120 without warranty (we payed) 3 months later its having the same issues. I won’t go back because its a waist of time
@NOS ULT maybe it's just my luck but every time I've ever been there it's involved sending something off (because they don't seem to hire a person who can look at this stuff in store) and then a bill that's a complete piss take. For stuff I know how to fix myself, but didn't want to because of the warranty. I then end up voiding the warranty to do the job myself afte ri realise that their 'warranty' is actually just a lie, and fixing it myself is stupidly cheap comlsritively anyway.
$550 head set and apple will accept no less than $300 to even look at them. they don’t run diagnostic’s on airpods max, so out of warranty these will run you close to $900 if they need any maintenance whatsoever.
It says pay 25 bucks because of the scratches (basic since it has been used). Same with a car in a car crash. They’ll ask for previous damage and if there was you are deducted that amount
I’ve sent my AirPods max in for repair several times for different issues they just swap the headphones with a remanufactured unit chances are there not going to repair the headphones just give you a new one, they should make a disclaimer stating cosmetic damage will change the initial cost
I had to send back my AirPods Pro for repair. One of the first questions asked….are there scratches, dents or water damage? Well mine had none, so I send them back, and 2 days later I received an I assume used pair. I feel the underlying issue is water damage, I’m not saying I wear them out in the rain or even in damp conditions, but I have looked closely and seen drops of water (sweat) on the speaker on the interior of the max.
My Airpod Max’s broke twice in the first month, 3rd time they break i try get a replacement they expect me to pay £220 or have them unrepaired The person in the post seems to from Uk aswell i wonder if there technicians are stricter/stupider outside the Us
I’ve had mine for 16 months and now they won’t charge. Apple wanted £225 to repair them - half the price of the original £549 purchase. I can’t afford to pay out a further 225 on them so now I’m gonna buy some for £150 and be done with it.
Same here. Mine died after 2 years of daily use. Never have any luck with bluetooth headphones as all of them have broken after a few years. Went back to my cheap wired JVCs that don't really sound any worse than the AirPods.
The chip in the corner is totally reasonable, Apple needs to seal the phone after they open it to replace the battery. If they don't(because there is a chip in the glass or body) and it gets damaged(by water or dust) after the repair, the customer will blame Apple for doing it wrong.
My airpods max suddenly wont connect and if connected there is no sound. After taking it to a nearest service center. They said the repair will cost more than 100% of the original price of a brand new airpods max. They advised me to just get a new one because it will be much cheaper. my airpods max only lasted for 1yr and 6months. I only use it at home while watching movies or playing games on my ipad and iphone
Aside from Apple’s tomfoolery, this is why I’m close to done with Bluetooth and wireless headphones. I just use a decent Bluetooth receiver with a headphone jack and just use wired headphones with them. The headphones will last me for decades, whereas batteries in the Bluetooth devices will wear out after a while. I still have some Bluetooth headphones, but I will use those as long as possible and try to replace the battery if needed. No AirPods Max for me, though.
they replace the entire unit if it is from the AirPods product lines. but I have replaced my AirPods 2 case one due to batter issues with crazy starches on the case, yet, they still replaced it for me for free. oh... he don't have apple care....
@@combax_techx the third bar followed proper protocol. They saw my receipt (which I had for every appointment), checked against my laptop serial, and reset it completely for me for free. First 2 bars could’ve done this, but either they didn’t know how to reset a locked laptop (unlikely), or wanted to sell a laptop to a seemingly clueless youngster.
I tried to replace my phone’s battery few days ago and I went through a similar situation. They refused to replace the battery just because my back glass was broken, I told them the battery can be replaced by just opening the screen, what does the back glass have to do with any of that and they told me if they’d replace my battery the will have to place my phone facing up on some type of a machine and they would charge me the whole phone price just to replace the back glass and the battery. I don’t know if anyone had a similar experience but I want to know how they’re replacing the battery.
I have AirPods Max. They are in perfect condition, only out of the case while wearing. I don’t know what the problem is. They are superior to many other brands and maybe all.
I went to Apple about my air pods (and I know for a fact it’s like the battery in the ear piece) they tried to tell me it was the charging box and I could get another box or a whole new pair “bc the amount it would cost for a box (only) is more than I even paid for them at Walmart I was like Ummm no, than just to prove a point I went home and put them in my working AirPods case and still same issue. Apple scams ppl just go to Walmart the warranty there is cheaper anyway 😂 and so is the item or even target or Best Buy lol
I had the worst customer service experience in life at Apple when I was in London trying to have my Apple Pencil repaired. They said my Apple Pencil was damaged 2 days after I purchased it because I put it in a pencil case with other normal pens. No wonder why the Apple Logo was a half eaten Apple by some random person instead of a new Apple.
My AirPods Pro exploded in my pocket and they refused to help me because in the pictures they said the case didn’t look white enough to be an authentic model.
I had my drivers and batteries replaced with no issues even with slight dents and deep scratches on the sides of the shell, still under 1 year warranty and no Apple care. Singapore Apple store(Jewel)🤙🏼 [Edit] Finna get them covers soon 💯
@@corycorrupted dude.... Do you really think that airpods max outside scratches justify what the apple service team saying..... Apple care is an optional thing. They are just straight up refusing service for a product under warranty with some petty claim.
Apple repairs hundreds of phones a day and laptops….apple will only want you to purchase something when you break it and the repair cost is more expensive then a new unit
My AirPods Max have COMPLETELY failed and no longer produce any audio. They are 1.5 years old. Out of the aptly called “limited” warranty. I have spent the better part of a day dealing with Apple senior Product managers via chat and phone calls. They will not repair or replace. They will “arrange,” for repair or replacement which is code for you will pay for it, as it’s out of warranty. They are deceitful in how they offer this. This product promoted as an expensive and premium audiophile investment is nothing but trash that will fail and I suspect for the very reason described in this video, internal moisture production and ingress. Apple will not stand behind this piece of expensive crap. They keep on going on about how you should buy extended warranty - it’s my fault for not doing so. You should be more aware when you buy. Well Apple, here’s my reply. I’m going to make sure everyone I know or any platform I can announce that the Maxs are crap. DO NOT BUY THEM. $500+ fail. RETURN THEM ASAP! If you can. Shame on you Apple!
Same here. Mine died after 2 years of daily use. I don't think paying half of what it's worth in repair fees is a good investment personally. Went back to my cheap wired JVCs that don't really sound any worse than the AirPods, and what I was using beforehand.
Good thumbnail, I was ready to watch till: around 1:01 mark and I suddenly remembered why I stop watching this channel. To long and drawn out for my taste, wish you’d stop prolonging your videos it’s finally to the point I am done watching
@@RN-yo4qm So with your logic everyone who has an accident is stupid? Did you think I purposefully spilled water on my laptop? But then again I guess you are one of those basement types who criticize everyone based on your previous comments on this channel which are all negative. It’s sad how you go around just acting superior and making calling people stupid, if you start learning social skills maybe you’ll get out of that basement! Good luck!
