The fact tyler figured out the shapeshifter so easily but not the mirror damage is hilarious to me

The ring worm is actually useful! If you push your luck with it constantly when at the fire, the campers will eat it and die, from then on you'll be able to use the campfire twice without any concern for losing your cards. Even if they don't eat it the first time, a 1 cost 2/1 or 0/5 is useful anyway! Definitely try it next time. :)

The best thing about Tyler is that he finds creative strategies in games and optimizes his creativity. Instead of the normal strategies.

the shape shifting card during the, prospector fight, it wasnt combined like you had done before, it was its regular 4 attack 1 health instead of 8 attack 2 health

The shapeshifter card can be spotted for what it is by looking at the card's eyes (or whatever part would glow blue if the card is inhabited). if the card is your shapeshifter in disguise, that part will be red.

If I had to guess about what's happening with the Ijiraq not being combined in the Prospector fight, it's probably because the developer either forgot or didn't expect there to be duplicate Ijiraqs in a deck given it's a rare. The code for the Ijiraq most likely says "hey, this card is the Ijiraq, disguise it as a different card in this deck" and then once it's played, instead of going "hey, turn this card back into this specific Ijiraq" it instead goes "hey, turn this card into a regular Ijiraq".

I looked on the wiki and found out that using the campfire on Kacee’s mod you can buff a creature twice. The second buff you risk a loss at a chance of roughly 67.5%. If the survivors eat the Long Elk, Adder or Ring Worm, they will be poisoned and won’t appear for the rest of game. Meaning that you can upgrade your creature twice without risk at future campfire events.

It would be cool if using harder starter decks gave challenge points, that way they can be balanced but still different

Just so you know the sigil on the field mice is the most broken one in the game as when u play a card with that sigil it creates a copy of itself in your hand. Just wanted to let you know as u never read what the field mice do even though u see them a good amount

Fun fact: The ijiraq are shapeshifters in inuit mythology, that being the indigenous tribes in Northern Canada, Alaska and Greenland. It is said that no mater what form they change into their eyes will stay red no matter what. That's why you can spot them when you're given options by the red eyes. I really love how much research the devs did into different mythologies for this game

If the survivors say “keep it right there” it is practically a guarantee that they don’t eat the creature. It is also normally a very low chance that the creature gets eaten. In the base game, you could push your luck 3 times in 1 fire and it was still a common occurrence to have a card survive all 3 times.

Anyone else notice the shapeshifter reveal at 35:35 (after the mycologist combination,) was just a regular shapeshifter instead of an 8atk/2hp? Now that's an annoying bug.

What a great series! Just noticed this game two days ago, and I watched and loved every single episode!

A card combo that I really want to see played is the geck with the field mice sigil. It seems to me that it would break everything

You know, something specifically about the roguelite version of the game. I feel like all battles are totem battles makes the game easier? When I played the base game I was terrified as heck of totem battles because their strategies were difficult to deal with and the overall power boost to each creature was insane. But maybe it only felt like that because of the decentralized deck you had to make to handle the regular encounters sometimes being 2 2/2s and sometimes being a bear with some other stuff. Right now, having played with it on pretty much since I unlocked it, as long as you have a strategy that generally covers the types of units the totem buffs, it doesn't really matter if Leshy throws random big units at you cuz you can just deal with them the same as a 1/1 of the same tribe

Actually, Tyler, the Bone Deck is pretty strong. You can use the Warren to play 2 Blood cost cards right away! So maybe getting rid of the Rat King was a bad idea...

If you want an extra challenge, the painting in the wall from the main game is still on the wall. If you complete it, you get extra items that reference the main game.

Why was shapeshifter not 8/2 in the prospector fight?

This is the only series I have ever been excited for uploads. This game is amazing and your play of it is incredible. Keep it up Aliensrock!

17:30, cockroach vs field mice is actually always field mice. Reasoning: field mice ability gives infinite bones when you put it on any 1 coster; works usually the same way as cockroach, just instead of dying, you receive spare card right away; incredible with 13-th child

Omg that shape shifter!!! I never would have noticed that. For all I know I've already gotten it and ignored it. This game how so many hidden secrets that's so amazing! :D

Something is up with mantis god. Its the only card to my knowldge that can get the eye symbol, and it has its own tracked statistic. Card is sus for sure

im pretty sure ringworm is meant to be sacrificed in the campfire so you can get double boosts without risk after they eat your ringworm

Ooh, the Ijiraq isn’t affected by the mycologists. I’m also surprised that there wasn’t an Easter egg for giving a pelt undying, they could’ve made the rabbit pelt turn into a rabbit, wolf pelt into a wolf, and the golden pelt into some sort of golden/legendary card with a unique effect.

The tentacles are op in this game, use them. The one with a bell icon does more damage the closer it is to the bell (4 damage all the way to the left to 1 damage all the way to the right), the one with the mirror icon copies the attack of the opposing card, and the hand icon’s attack is equal to the cards in your hand. The bell tentacle is a 2 cost 4/3, the mirror is a 1 cost killer of high cost units (almost like an adder with more health), and the hand tentacle is a 1 cost 2/3 on average. The bell tentacle needs to be placed on the left side to be useful. The mirror tentacle can easily be killed with high health, low damage units (eg. the river snapper). And the hand tentacle needs cards in your hand to work.

Aliensrock as a heads up on how far content goes for the lore, I believe that logs 5+ logs are not released yet, if you don’t care about them being there you should be fine to carry on.

Just so you know (I’m sure you do) but the Oroborus and cards like it have secret abilities so when you just sacrifice them for their ability you lose that card specific ability

21:20 I believe the daus is explained in the arg to be part of the old data. Also it represents the devil with his pig feet and rat like appearance.. if you really want to know. the Daus brings chimes onto the board that represent the chimes from the german card game Karnöffel, which also appears in the Arg as the Karnoffelcode, which appearantly was used by hitler. (he even appears in the second act when you use the obol to get to the bonelord. when you go down the stairs youll see bones and a jacket with the karnöffel card game in his chestpocket. So people assume that the Bonelord actually represents Hitler in the game)

The replayability of the game is insane. Im already at max challenge level and still enjoy playing

I saw people complaining about how you can use sacrifices and stuff to make extremely powerful cards and it makes it too easy but I think the issue is how fast the difficulty of fights scale, maybe if the abilities we're tiered (akin to Super auto Pets) then the broken abilities would still be fun while also challenging you

The ant deck was by far my favourite deck I've created. Gave the field mice perk to a flying ant, combined it with another flying ant that had a mantis god perk. After a couple turns my board is just a bunch of 4/4 flyers with triple strike

It just occurred to me that you could make an infinitely large ouroboros if you have a creature with the warren and undying sigils. Summon warren and rabbit, sacrifice for ouroboros. Sacrifice ouroboros to summon the warren again, then you have an infinite loop to buff the ouroboros as much as you want.

Tyler when people at the fire say “keep it right there” press the power/health up button again and your creature won’t die.

So the Campfire with the survivors has a chance of them eating the creature(in base game it's 22.5% per buff, but from unofficial sources, in Kaycee's mod it's boosted to 66.5%). However, if they eat the Ring Worm, Adder, or Long Elk, they will die and wont be present at future campfires for the rest of the run, meaning you can buff next creatures risk free!

I'm gonna bet the first time you see rampager with the ringworm and the ant, the position of the two cards is pre-programmed to teach the player how the effect works, each on the far sides of the board to guarantee that they will meet in the middle ;)
