lot of good work here mate, great looking boat. The bow thruster is impressive, even more so with the remote - I'll bet that comes in handy!

fantastic cruiser! it is looking super swish. enjoying the channel. great work - keep it up! personally, as someone just getting into boating (doing my powerboat level 2 next week), I'd like to know how you go about finding a mooring - it's a bit of a minefield.

Nice work. Are you able to give a rough price for the fitting the bow thrusters. Did you use a local fitter, or do it yourself? Interested, as I can nearly see our boat out of your front windscreen

Hi If you see me onboard, pop over. To answer your question I used Osmotech. Their fiberglass guy was amazing. However the guy who fitted it did not really know what he was doing. That aside it's very good. I also have the remote controller with anchor winch as well. I think I paid £4500 all in. It adds value to your boat so worth it. Might be slightly more now.

Hi, do you have real world performance figures for your boat (it’s lovely by the way) what top speed do you get at the start of the season when she is clean and dry? compared to the end of the season when she is a little dirty and water logged? Also if you have your fuel burn at displacement, cruise and full throttle? That would be very interesting.. I have just bought a 2015 leader 8 with the same engine and I’m waiting for it to be delivered next month. Thank you 🍻

Hi great question, and yes I love the data. So let's start with a clean bum at the start of the season. My cruise rpm would usually be 2600 and this would give 18-20 knots wind depending and a good fuel burn of around 25LPH. At 2800 rpm I would get 23-25knots yet the LPH would go upto 35LPH. Anything above that was diminished returns really. By the end of the season, if I'd not had a mid season lift and scrub it would be possible to lose 3-5 knots even with a 200 rpm uplift. The massive noticiable thing is the time to get on the plane. Clean and fresh back in the water she'd be planing at around 12knots, and really quickly, dirt takes a long time due to drag and less efficient prop. You see 1 engine is pretty light. Yet as the muck builds you need more HP, so the trick is keep her clean. The other interesting thing is additional weight. When I bought her, empty of belongings fuel and water she was over tons lighter than when I lifted out at the end of season, fueled water and loads of belongings! Finally flat out very clean was 28knots at 3400 rpm and 60LPH, never bothered. Also trimming the leg and the tabs makes a big difference, we'll worth taking a day with no wind or waves to play around with both on fixed rpm to find her sweet spot. Also the S29 sealine had a twin stepped race hull which rides very well. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching.
