Actually just the opposite. If there wasn't a backing track playing, she would have just stopped singing and got her hair out. But she couldn't. If she stopped she would have been caught faking it to the backing track.

TheVeryWhiteGuy I'm not glorifying her. Simply commending her for as you say "doing (her) job". Which would equate to being professional. I've seen plenty of artists who get frustrated or complain when something goes wrong in the show. She, instead, continued to sing. As I've stated, I'm not a big fan of hers. But I like to give credit where credit is due.

You can hear that she is struggling to sing on small parts of the song because, even though I've never had it happen to me, getting your hair stuck in a fan must hurt like heck! She does a pretty good dam job to keep in singing. Queen bey 💗

You can tell (and hear) she was obliviously not lip syncing. Beyoncé rarely uses playback live, and she definitely wouldn't do it getting so close to the fans and she typically lets the fans sing along with the song (obviously indicating her microphone is very much on) and she starts singing the notes in a lower key than usual when her hair is pulled into the fan.

As an old guy who has worked in the concert business for over 35 years, I've gotta say... this woman is a total professional. She handled what had to be a frightening situation with absolute cool. She delivers the goods every time she steps on a stage, and she was thinking of the fans first here, not the fan. And special praise to the real fan in the audience who is seen trying to help her. You gotta love Beyonce, you really do.

You're way off. I don't even own music by Beyonce. I stumbled across this video while listening to music from another artist. There's no 'physiology' involved in this moment. It's experience/professionalism. It's the same as many Moms, myself included, who learn not to emote during a shocking moment, so that we don't scare our kids!
hush hun It is tiring when people say something in defense of Beyoncé and everyone replies with "obsessed fan!" T_T Some things are recorded sure. But not her voice. Listen to it. We hear her get sucked in. We hear her jerky voice at the beginning. We hear her wavering and she doesn't usually sound like that. She doesn't even hit the high note on "out". And she has a steadier voice rather than what she would do instead (with her changes in pitch and tone). She keeps going and it's almost apparent on her face that she's just trying to push through because, like I said, the background (halos from elsewhere) are probably timed and she doesn't want to stop the show just because
For the people who think this us lip syncing. You can tell that it isn't Playback bcoz at 0:22 she was supposed to sing "Halo" but since she was getting down she didnt sing "Haloooo". She missed one halo when her mic was away which is evident that she didnt Lip sych

Let me be the first to say that I'm not a huge Beyoncé fan however don't have any problem with her at all. She just doesn't sing my type of music but wanted to see what this is about. I do have to say though however that I can easily tell that she is "NOT" lip synching. You really can hear the change in her voice as the hair gets caught in the fan. Give her props for taking it well and continuing on. It's artists like this and Madonna with that fall and getting back up and not stopping and giving it their all that deserve to have all that they have for they do take their jobs seriously!

Doesn't even a break a sweat. I saw SUCH a lesson in this. You may want to take a risk...knowing that doing something different might make people doubt or question you...do it anyway. If in the midst of your journey, you hit some challenges... You may (at first) be willing to face it with hope and tenacity. But while you're fighting, the challenge takes longer than you expected...don't be afraid. Get help and LET people help you. Don't lose your (mental) cool. Trust that the process is necessary and that you'll get through it...it will come to an end and you'll feel like you wasted energy if you lose your cool when you know things will eventually be alright. Just keep fighting and keep singing...stay the course and EVENTUALLY you'll overcome that challenge. People may later laugh and try to put you down (similar to the tabloids) but because YOU stay calmed and YOU stayed focused and YOU kept fighting...you'll know that YOU ARE STRONG and able to handle anything. :)
Holy shit. lt's like a stalker. lt snuck into the show. lt was barely noticed because it blended in with the rest of the fans. lt made it's way to the front row, and once she got close enough, it assaulted the hell out of her.
Why did it take them so long to get her out....Beyonce handled it like a True Professional, the show must go on. I am not sure how I would have handled that. It definitely would have been a different reaction.
True!!! I was laughing but admiring her at the same time, I know how much it hurts when I brush my hair and it gets stuck, if this was me I'd probably scream like crazy and swear until I was free :)
