I think this is what separates singers from vocalist. I DON’T consider Adele to be a vocalist although, great singer. Beyoncé is INDEED better when it comes to versatility and vocal ability
Yes no shade towards Adele I loved her since chasing pavements but her sound tone and delivery and style is PLATEAU .... The same for Chris Brown I'm not a fan of his because his sound, delivery, and technique and style hasn't matured either since "Run it"... You seen one show you seen em all 💁♂️
I love Adele but if I’m being 100% honest a candle is out of reach. Lol she cannot hold a 4th of July sparkler to Beyoncé musically or vocally. Beyoncé’s vocal control alone wins with ease. Beyoncé’s voice has been trained. She has an impressive range, versatility, proper pronunciation/diction, vocal control, and excellent technique. The things Beyoncé can do with her voice is unreal. As great as Beyoncé is, Matthew deserves a great deal of credit for it. Beyoncé has down a excellent job maintaining it but Matthew provided her with the tools and made sure she understood discipline. For heaven’s sake he had destiny’s child on treadmills in heels while singing to understand and master vocal control. She earned her strips and place in the music industry! Gotta respect it. 👑💯
Period. And THAT is why she is the ONLY star rated vocalist of this century thus far along with the likes of Whitney, Mariah, Aretha, and MJ. Prefer who you want but the woman is a pretty much flawless vocalist who put in the work to hone that gift. And all of those named have acknowledged her vocal ability.
I think Adele is the better songwriter, while Beyonce is the better singer while being a good songwriter in her own right too. In my opinion, Dileesa can sing either one under the table. Just my opinion. ❤️
The short answer to your question is a resounding NO. There are many facets of Adele's voice that are just pedestrian. She hasn't really displayed any vocal dynamism since "Chasing Pavements" and "Hometown Glory". I honestly prefer Park & Bark performers over the more flashy entertainers, but I still have ears: I need a better bark.
I prefer Beyonces tone. ESPECIALLY current Beyonce. Her full, deeper, mature, and velvety tone is just soooo good on the ears. Listening to her sing on the Renaissance tour is just OMG. Literally gives me chills. And Beyonce is simply a more skilled vocalist. She is a vocal acrobat. She has mastered her instrument to the T. As you said she can sing literally anything and pretty much has sang every genre thoughout her career and did it flawlessly imo. And really she’s always been exceptional since Destiny’s child and only got better. I can understand ppl not preferring her more higher tone esp back in the day. But she’s ALWAYS been a phenomenal vocalist. I really started to LOVE her tone back during the dreamgirls era. When she sang listen live on Oprah. And I loved her tone back in the 2010s and I love it even more now with how much lower and deeper it is. And really it got that deep after the twins so it was late 2010s. Around Coachella. It’s really beautiful. She’s also way more technically proficient than Adele plus everything else you said. Nobody today is beating Beyonce in live vocals. She’s earned her rank as STAR rated vocalist and the only one in this century thus far. Where ppl go wrong is thinking that someone is the better singer just bc they like the sound of their voice, or tone. No. Instead of saying “she sings better” which is a lie, they should just say “I prefer Adele’s voice over so and so”. Ppl don’t know anything about vocals so they don’t actually know what makes someone better than another.
It’s honestly very hard for me to choose between the two of them. 😥 I love both of their tones which is why I am a fan of both. I think comparisons are always subjective. They can have the most skill, natural talent, but in the end I think people choose “what personally sounds more pleasant” to them. Which is beautiful, because beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It really comes down to tone 🤷♀️
Vocal comparisons are only subjective when youre comparing subjective factors like preference of tone and who you find more emotive, or whose singing style/artistry you prefer. Whe discussing something quantitative and measurable like vocal technique i.e agility, pitch accuracy, support, range and power it becomes objective. Beyonce is objectively the far more skilled vocalist in terms of technique. That isnt debatable. But fair enough to people who find Adele more moving or just prefer the sound of her voice and her music in general.

Adele has a better voice , but Beyoncé does more with what she has which isn’t as good an instrument as Adele. Beyoncé has studied and gained her skills Adele is naturally more gifted (IMO)

Also I think the issue is although Beyoncé is a good singer her fanatical fans immediately tried pushing her up onto the same levels as peak Mariah and Whitney, which just made her good singing seem more average than it was as everyone kept insisting on comparing her to singers she was not in the same league as. Although I’m not a massive fan, greatly respect what she’s achieved though. Agree when I listen to Adele I believe every word!
In your opinion and thats just fine. All depends on what criteria youre using to come to that conclusion. Tone, artistry and ability to emote? Thats all subjective and if you feel Adeles superior in those areas then thats your opinion and no one can tell you otherwise. However if we're talking objective, measureable criteria such as vocal technique then Beyonce is substantially the superior singer and thats not even debatable.
To say you prefer her voice is what you should've said because Adele is NO WHERE near beyonce strong voice. Literally bey can sing every Adele song laying down. Adele can not do the same. Tell her to sing love in top or listen
Let me chime in and just say this. Young people, Beyonce took a lot of vocal instruction from a singer who is now passed away named Betty Wright. There are lots of singers known for their whistle register but there is one lady, Betty Wright who I consider to have a more powerful whistle register. Beyonce should be able to sing far better than what she does when you've had the instruction of Betty Wright you should be the jack of all trades. The public has really pumped Beyonce up. Beyonce is an average singer and a very good performer. Beyonce is the queen of annoying runs and annoying vibrato. As far as Beyonce dancing and singing Beyonce has also done lots of lip singing. Beyoncé has never studied under Betty wright lmao. Nobody has a better whistle register than Mariah. Beyoncé sings PHENOMENALLY, don’t play in her face. Beyoncé has a very even vibrato. Beyoncé rarely lip syncs. Stop it.
