Survival being hard is how a survival game rewards you. At first, you're scavenging and barely surviving off bad food, then you're farming and breeding things to easily cook great stuff. It's not a chore, it's progression. Same with chopping wood or mining faster. If it's always fast, there's no progression. Mining different ores is just doing the same thing with a new coat of paint.
End game resource balance for end game items isn't balanced only real issue I have with the game, but sadly the devs already stated they aren't going to rework crafting recipes even though they really should when things like the bigger storage chest cost 10x more resources but only provides 2x more storage compared to the basic small chest, or when end game armor only benefit is that it gives 15% more dmg reduction but provides zero hazard protections while costing 20x more resources to make compared to the other armors in the game.
I don't like how you have to unlock other characters. All should be available from the start. DOes this control like a Diablo-like? Or is it WASD movement?
