I’m 8 hours in and just finished the tutorial boss, lost myself in this game. So much things to explore and so many good looking “pals” to catch. It’s a dream game for me, I love Pokémon, I love survival games, and I love adventures with exploration.
I wouldn't even call it a tutorial boss. It's a tough fight even at lvl 24 unless ya using rock type pals but it can still knock you out If your not avoiding things
Ok... a tip...as soon as you get ability to fly, visit high lvl areas (and avoid aggroing high lvl pals). Aim for big eggs that hatch rare ones as it will make game much better. Tip 2 --- have a main base and a base where is a lot of ore in single area. Place down as many mining minions as you can, 3 berry farms to keep them feed and a spa and they will farm ore for you. Then you simply pick it out of box, teleport to main base and tell pals to smelt it. This will keep your inventory space to mine other rare minerals. Tip 3 --- as soon as you unlock the wooden high walls, put them araund the base circle as this will prevent Ai steping outside of it and getting stuck. And it also works as base defense. Also a question .... is there a declay timer like in Rust in this game since i would love to build a base near a random teleport waypoint just so i can have a house for myself :P
I do this but I already have my furnace at my mining base. I found a spot with like 7 metal ores inside my base area, I wondered if they will respawn because they are inside my blue zone, seems they do.. Lucky thing about pal world is, I can just keep going and not worry about metal ever again. Sulfur is gonna be the next step tho, not sure how Im gonna aproach that.
Awesome vid. FYI, you can have more than 1 Pal out at a time attacking with you. There’s a necklace you can unlock pretty early on which enables it. Then if a Daedream is in your party, they’ll float over your shoulder and attack with you. You can have two necklaces! So 3 Pa;s out at once attacking.
For all my friends with jobs and families, this is another game that needs our time and we will pay for but will never get to play as much as we want. So i say, let's buy it!
You find any tips for chest management? My guys just stick stuff in the first chest they come too. I have rocks everywhere... every single chest. It's very annoying. Haha.
Two additions; 1. Accessories you get can be stacked. So you can wear the thermal protection 2x, for example. Tip 2: you can butcher bosses with the butchering cleaver and get the resources they drop a second time. This basically doubles the amount you get from them.
It's awesome to see, that this game blew up as it did, but the fact, that some of my favorite, yet somewhat small youtubers blew up thanks to this game really warms my heart
Excellent video. Very professional. It's rare I get any useful information from these types of videos, but you clearly play the game and are competent at it, and I picked up quite a bit from this video. Your channel seems to be popping off and I checked some of your older videos - your quality has definitely improved. Keep it up man.
Idk why but hearing your pronunciation of "life-munk" and the way ive been pronouncing it in my head as "leaf-munk" gave me even more of a nostalgia feel bc we all are going to start discussions on how to pronounce them properly like we did pokemon.(im sure ppl are doing this already) Game is great, but seeing the impact culturally so far is fun, too. The positive stuff like the art of eevee and cremis together is cute and heartwarming. Hope to see more of ot
I play on a non gaming laptop and it does not look nearly as good as this. Just appreciate the visual 😍😍😍 love this game and the few hours I've clocked in. Fun, dangerous, and engaging. I rarely ever play survival games past 10hrs of tutorial but this one is different. Loving it so far. Caught a chicken and he is my main guy! Names him "DoomSlayer" and he gets the job done
@@radagast7200 No. I have an Asus VivoBook. Mostly for work/personal use. At the time I didn't need anything crazy since I plan on building a PC eventually
@@Legend7 haha. I was just joking. Viva la dirt is a sketch comedy group out of New Zealand. They did a few skits about gaming on a Mac that were pretty funny. Actually, most of their stuff is pretty good.
instead of building a glider I'd recommend catching a celeray and crafting the gloves for it. They spawn right at the beach at the starting location and are all level 2-4 Far more stamina efficient and faster than the standard glider and later they can be replaced with a Galeclaw which is even more efficient and faster
not sure if he said it or not. but something that i found out later in the game is even with a party of 5 pals you can still capture as many pals as you want . they just go straight into your palbox
@20:33 no need to do this if you just hold 4 and switch them to passive, this is helpful when you have multiple pals out from collars, because it will also affect those which you cannot bring back by hitting "e"
so it also cause Pals like Daedream to stop attacking with their passive abilities? I missed many chances to catch Nitewings because it always get killed by one of my Daedreams.
Some bonus pro tips for people who like reading! This really comes down to prefrence, but Honestly, I find work speed to be pointless. You will find pals who outcraft you and once you have production assembly lines, multiple pals can craft the same item at once. I lucked out with a merchant selling a lunaris who has 3 handiwork. but even a pal with just 2 handwork is much faster than you are. If you need to craft things even out in the world, like arrows, you can just create the workbench and throw a pal at it, then unless you get far away from it, that pal will work for it. this also works in base, keeping a handicraft 2 or handicraft 3 pal in your party is worth way more than having your workspeed level'd up. Also I think you could have spent a bit more time talking about food and sanity. You pals in base working on stuff will lose sanity and low sanity is what leads to injuries and depression for pals. you get the wheat field, berry field, and mill pretty early on. grinding wheat in the mill gets you flower, then flour and berries make the "jam filled bun" or jam toast as I call it. I recommend having your first base do a fairly large farming opteration, starting with jam toast, then later transition it to salad, 2 tomatoes, 2 lettuce, and then cook it. yeah you cook salad in this game lol. But having a good chunk of your workforce able to make good food ensures that your pals never get hurt or go insane. Plus farming a lot of food at one base means you can just bring that food to your other bases. You can fast travel between bases and food is super light, so its not a big upkeep task to keep your pals fed. IMO its super worth it so that even if you setup a base later thats just mining resources for you, you can still keep the healthy. Another pro tip is to explore beyond your level and look for eggs. it can be risky as some pals are hostile and will attack on sight. but even just a nitewing, the earliest flying mount, can get you out of trouble in most cases. finding an egg in a high level area will hatch a pal from that area look specifically for large or huge eggs. they take a long time to hatch, but you literally just leave them in an egg incubator and go play the game doing whatever you want to do and they'll be hatched eventually. I highly recommend doing this around the volcano early on in your playthrough because you'll get pals that can smelt and cook quickly. this will outpace all your metal and food needs for the rest of the game. I hatched a couple reptyros early and ive never been lacking metal or food. Also re-sanity. the bed your pal sleeps in and the hot spring they use affects their sanity a lot. Dont be a palworld slave owner, give them good beds and hot springs. the later beds take high quality cloth, so don't be afraid to leave one pal from early game like cremis in the ranch, but only ever craft the cloth you need. leave the rest of the wool as wool so it can be used for high quality cloth, then you can make the best beds. I think sanity goes down faster the faster they work. For example in early game all the pals with level 1 work skills seem to be fine sleeping in the cheapest bed and eating baked berries. but a reptyro who is always mining or always cooking is using a lvl 3 skill will tank his sanity fast. So he needs a better bed, better food, and better hot spring to keep his sanity up. Finally catching pals vs hunting pals. The statement "Catching pals is worth more exp than killing them" isn't the full story. Catching palls gives you more experience and a huge boost to experience if you've caught less than 10 of that specific pal. However killing a pal gives your party pals more experience than you. So you want to catch pals to raise your player level and kill pals to raise your pal levels.
"Shiny" pals are called LUCKY and so is their special bonus. Dungeon bosses can be rerolled if you are looking for a specific type by moving to a different room and then coming back to the boss room. If no one sees you kill that person, your wanted level disappears, but you have to one-shot them - accidentally killed one of the lone beach goers because everything is on left click so watch where you're pointing your weapons. In single player currently if your second and third bases are too far away from where you are, they are unloaded and no productivity happens in them until you're within range again, switching to a multiplayer world keeps them loaded. You can sneak up on wild pals and bosses and capture them much easier though it is still a random chance, the chance is much higher, if they don't notice you (crouch+no pal out) you get like a sneak bonus. Sleeping pals don't know they're sleeping on FIRE PITS! making it much easier to capture larger pals.
Hi ! Great vidéo, really helped me out ! I wanted to add on the topic of the wanted status that i managed to clear it using a world boss. I "accidentaly" hit an npc and had this status, i used a world boss as a shield to take cover and the world boss killed all of the soldiers. Since i wasn't the one tho kill them it didn't increase the wanted status and it just got cleared when they were all dead ;) (i was lvl 6 so really wasn't in any position to put up a fight against lvl 24 soldiers xD)
I built on a plateau. It might be a bug but i have to climb to get up and so far no raids have made it up yet. I dont know if there's flying raids but so far its going well.
Another great tip for helping against bosses, when you have your pal out and he gets hurt, dont let him die and instead swap him out, he will heal while in your roster, also, you can always recall them right away if a big boss is about to do a big attack and hurt/kill your pal, just keep in mind of the agro while doing so.
Multiple of them too on top of that, i run two kwy item pals, one healing pal, one ground mount and one flying mount. I have the two key item pals out and swap between one of the mounts of healer at any given moment so i always have 3 pals out at any given moment. I wonder if you can make a full team of 5 pals woth key items allowing them to fight by your side passively. If so then thats a way to have 5 team mates out at the same time who are each invincible and dont agro the enemy since these pals dont count as being out.
if you automate a berry farm with your pals and you have a feeding station for them they will take all the berries to their station so you won’t have to worry about your pets at home starving
Thanks for the awesome video! I was so confused about allot of it. This cleared most of it up i think. One beginner tip i can tell you from experience is to not swim for too long. 🤣
Same with pals, my deadream was following me around in my way and I couldn't figure out what was causing the issue, until it finally moved behind me. Lol I feel your pain
Thank you Man for making this video I’ve been looking around RU-vid for some good beginning videos starting out in power on and as well as what you do in the endgame not be complete in game but higher than the beginning and this video was absolutely perfect just what I needed you got a new sub keep up the good work and I look forward to some more good videos. Keep up the grind.
Hello, brand new player here! This was the first video I watched, and it was very helpful, so thank you! A couple things: 1. I would maybe tell new players that you don’t want to deplete the Pal’s health all the way if you’re trying to catch them! (Wasted a few balls before I realized it couldn’t be caught hahah) 2. Is there a mechanic to throwing the balls? I just quickly tap “Q” but this last time I noticed there might be a timing mechanic involved? Thanks!
there is a ore mine near the first tower with i think 6 copper nodes to mine. i built a base there and havent needed to worry about ore for a long time or eggs i just put my chickens with it then two transport pets and it keeps itself running
This game looks great, but I haven't heard anyone compare it to Conan Exiles. So many similarities, even capturing "thralls" in Conan or "Pals" in this game.
I apparently put my base in a place that messes with the raid AI. They spawn 200m+ away, need something that feels like 5 minutes to arrive, run through my base without acting, leave the base the other side, run up a hill behind my base, run on the roof of my building and then despawn with the game telling me they were thwarted. Multiple times.
@@Vulkan_Gaming I have not seen a ruined castle, but it is a place fairly early. It is the plateau - directly to the west of the Tower of Rayne syndicate, beyond the lake, - directly above a dungeon, - north east of Kingpaca and - directly south of the red zone on the map southermost Star Destroyer rock formation. (I currently do not have access to the game and can't offer proper coordinates, sorry)
I can help with a few things! So DO NOT take daedream (with a necklace) with you if you don't want every single pal to be dead. If you wanna catch them, just don't do it. It'll murder everything you love. Doesn't matter if you put pals on passive. The Wanted effect can be lost by not doing anything illegal. Like I got an assault one, then I tried to fight the guards. Got more. I left them be and let them follow me 😅 I lost the effect like 5-10 min later. Also trying to go in a dungeon to get them away from you doesn't work. Tried that too 😂
I just now found this out but if you are swimming your stamina bar goes down until you touch land. And if it goes all the way down while you're in the water you will die. Just a heads up 😂😂
Stamina -> Vitality -> Weight is my priority, I'm almost immortal because I do is rolling rolling rolling rolling, and just in case I get hit nothing happens
Looks like someone took Pokemon and covered it in Palia aesthetics (seriously look at the graphics from both, even the fonts of the title screens look almost the same!) and with survival added.
4:33 I play on Xbox and I put most of my food in the feeding campfire for pall they either don’t expire or expire really slow so much so that I never notice the difference then again it could also be because I have like I hundred plus of a few food items in there but yeah
Next they need to do is to have a portal in the map which makes you go into a pal tournament of somesort, essentially a PVP lobby, and you can chose via levels to play against same levels, pals only, or free for all, or maybe put in some other pvp genre too like pal cart, palworld version of mario cart.
at around @17:20 you said you can have one pal out at a time, I call lier lier pants on fire. I hear that you can call out a Hoocrates and have the pal equipment for the Daedream and 4 Daedreams will cluster around you and shoot at what you shoot at allowing you to use 5 pals at the same time, so this is a 100% counter to the normal use one replace use one, why not use 5. Hoocrates boosts the damage of evil or something pals, I have yet to try this, but I hear it works.
Got raided by Pals that were 15 levels higher than me last night. They killed all my base Pals and then burnt the entire thing to the ground. 10/10 would recommend lol
You said the longest hatching time for you was 30 mins?? Normal egg with 100% incubation speed takes 4 hours, large one 18 hours. Default server settings (I know you can tweak the big eggs). What am I missing?
So I was wondering... are berries really all you need to feed your pals? regardless of their..... "real world counterparts"? Like.. no meat needed for the "canines", no fish for "poplio" because I was really concerned if I catch a wolf I need to go hunting every frigging day. But so far it looks they are fine with those berries?
Dude I got raided the other day by this goat/dog looking thing and it looked so sick but my pals one shot it cause I rang the damn bell 😭😭 I feel like it’s gonna take me hours to actually find him now
Ty for the great starter guide, I have a couple of hours in and I have no idea what am doing T_T I just got one question, if I start my world (server) and then get invited to a multiplayer world( (server) do I start over in that one or carry my stuff?
about the wanted i tried during the earlier stages to catch the vilager on the first map LMAO i got wanted status i just hide on the house and at some point the wanted status got removed
Oh man, as soon as you get a flying mount a whole new world like I'm sure you get faster. Better flying mounts later but end of the beginning. Just being able to reach places much faster. Much farther. Much easier
Here with it finally releasing on ps5. Bit confused with this game still being "early acess" what exactly does that mean? Is the game not actually released? Lol
Im hearing everyone comparing this game to Pokemon which I agree with visually. As far as gameplay mechanics, this is CONAN and I’m here for it. I loved Conan but it’s a little too complicated for my tastes. This game seems to fill the “I’m lost” gap a little better than Conan.
Is it worth it to already start playing the game or better wait till a later date? First run is always the most awesome and afraid that the EA status messes up the experience.
First of I love this game, but it has a big problem right now and that is a memory leak in the code, this is very noticeable on linux systems, namely the steam deck where the game will outright crash at random intervals, but just because Windows machines don't crash, doesn't mean the memory leak doesn't exist, my windows gaming rig shrugs it off because I have the specs to spare, but something like this is going to shine on a mobile platform like the Deck. This isn't me shitting on Pal World, I am so hooked with it right now, but I really hope they can get the technical issues resolved sooner rather than later, and yes I get it is an early access, right now it is unplayable on Deck regardless of what someone tells you, the farther you get into the game, the worse it is going to get because of the server resources the machine has to manage even for solo play. More bases you have more things going on the quicker it is going to crash.
you can capture the tower bosses you jsut have to do weird things to do it like that girl with the electric type she rides on you have to get a crime stat then go after her and capture her
I dont think work speed is something you want to level. As far as i know you cant respec statpoints and quite soon Pals are doing all the work for you. Same for attack. Imo you only need weight, HP and a liiiiittle bit of stamina.
Weirdly, I am getting EQ Landmark vibes so much from this game... If only Daybreak back then had the vision to realise it. Palworld + Landmark construction would have been amazing.
Personally, I don't put any points into work speed. Yes, the Pals are slow workers early on, but the player has lots to do while waiting. I set the jobs up and then leave to catch Pals for EXP or explore. Later on, you can breed faster workers in addition to this. So I don't find the brief period at the beginning of the game where you have to craft a few things yourself to be worth the point investment.
