That's one of my favorite things about this. He's been working on it for so long, so many people didn't believe in him and his project and now he'll finally get the attention he deserves. All the worlds inside his head now become a reality and that's just beautiful and inspiring.

Eric Gates Have you even played the original? This is as distanced as you can get. The original is E10+. This is a clear M. It's even a prequel, so no prior knowledge is required. Get that stick out of your butt.

I never played the original but I always heard good things, why are people so upset about the swearing? From what I can tell it was 15 years since the first the majority of people that played the first are older now so why not target an older audience? The guy crying this must've been his vision and is proud of it why can't fans be happy as well?

Exactly. Although it is a bit weird, seeing the first game being rated PEGI 7+ and the sequel possibly being rated PEGI 18+, primarily due to mature content and a more realistic art style to cater to an older group of fans (who were basically kids when they played the first game).

Delayed because Ubisoft has a horrible habit of announcing games too early. Skull and Bones was announced the same time as this in 2017, but now in 2022 it's said to be finally releasing. So either this year or next BG&E2 might finally come out. My only concern though is it's possible competition with Starfield

I love Beyond Good & Evil, my favorite game of all time. Thank you to Michel Ancel and everbody who worked on this prequel for adding another game to the Saga. What a masterpiece the trailer is.

I am so happy to see this back. Best moment of E3 for me by far. I've been wanting this for a very long time and you can see Michel Ancel has been too. I've seen a lot of split opinions with this trailer but personally I love it very much. Sure the tone is different and the swearing would not be in place at all in the first game but it's already been 14 years since the last game released. I've sure as hell grown up a lot since the first game released so maybe it's time for BG&E to do so a little bit too. I'm not saying swearing is the only way to do that but this is only the "first" glimpse we've got of the game, there's plenty of time to take on board any feedback people have. I personally don't think the swearing is too much....that's just me. To be honest the swearing caught me off guard but I think that's what makes this trailer even more special. As I was watching live I instantly called BG&E 2 when I saw the pig...but then the swearing happened and it threw me completely off.But the visuals and world grabbed me so much [just like the original]..then when that music kicked in at the end I lost it! I'm also really excited it's a prequel to be honest, I'd love to see this world established so it can gain so many more fans. What you've got to realise is the first game wasn't a huge hit so this is a perfect way for a new audience to get into the series with then the possibility of more games in the future. I'd love more. I understand peoples doubts and I don't blame you...I've been waiting for more since they showed that trailer back in 2008....since the first game released in 2003..I'm just so happy that it's a reality and it clearly shows that Michel Ancel's passion and love is being poured into this. I can't bloody wait!

the thing we saw back a few years ago have probably got nothing to do with this game, meaning the developpement probably ended and they ''reboot'' it. They said in the conference that they have used 3 years just to create an engine.

I love the look, feel and so far the dialogue of this game! It's dam near photo realistic. I wonder if this was pre-rendered or actual game engine. I only wonder that because they seem to have the ability to achieve this look with real engine and if so, man technology has come a LONG ways in 15 years.

I totally shed a tear too seeing this! BG&E was my favorite game when I was a kid, we have been waiting and the fabled second game has ended in many broken promises for the fans. If it really ends up looking like this is will be different yet a huge honor to the original. I just hope they fix up the voice acting as I thought a lot of it in the preview seemed unnecessary and the action didn't need explaining. Just felt less realistic like that. As long as they don't overdo the voice acting I think it could be amazing. I hope this actually moves forward this time..

as a young fan of the original, i personally believe that it's going to be a great game, yes i understand and acknowledge the huge changes but this presentation embraces these changes and this team seems very passionate about it, hopefully it'll please all fans and grab a hold of new ones while adding more depth to the original and giving us a larger insight into the world of beyond good and evil

Cardboard No you're right. Fifth Element, which this game's world is clearly inspired by, has it. While I think it's interesting to see a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural society(galaxy) in game, I feel they should just let the actual trailer and gameplay do the talking instead of making a point of it.

Cool as hell ! But you could have used less strong language I think... This isn't GTA V, and sometimes you put bad words just to put them. For exemple, when Knox says "That's swiss fucking chocolate, pig" : remove the fucking and the sentence keeps his sense. But I'm so hyped ! This game, for what I saw and read, looks like the perfect melting between GTA (for the possible interactions), No Man's Sky (for the size of the universe and the space travels) and Assassin's Creed Black Flag (for the pirate story and the battleship). Unfortunately, my hype will be quenched in the next decade :( But I'm patient !

so wait.....its not a sequel?? instead its a matured prequel? why even call it beyond good and evil 2?? i feel like alot of the original fan base will not be interested in this considering jades not even in this one and the tone is hugely different from the original. does that mean another one will follow with jade in it??? whatt happened to all those original concepts and game videos with jade and pey'j? probably still gonn try this game out since it looks reallt cool and over still has similar ideas from the original. but i cant help to wonder what they have been up to for the past 15 years.
