Today, we are all witnessing the success of team Brazil, but I want to point out that the number 16th on this list, its where it all began. Daiane dos Santos, the one that inspired our golden girl Rebeca, and made us all Brazilians to fall in love with the sport, and got out country to really invest hard in our training infrastructure and incoming new talent - it has flourished beautifully.

Iconic list! Huge credit to Simona, Aly, and Ponor for medaling twice! Sandra crashing out in London at the end of her routine was so tragic, or she would have probably medaled and Vanessa too if not for the TB rule. Though I guess if Sandra did hit than Vanessa and Aliya would have both been bumped down. I guess a lot of my faves have won Bronze on floor over the years.

My hearth favorite,Aly Raissman ,great rutine ,but Ponor,Isbazza,Amanar,Lavinia and Simone are great gimnastic woman

the Blonde lady at the side of the Floor ex for Shannon Miller is her assistant coach Peggy Liddick Shannon competed in 2 Olympics Barcelona 1992 and Atlanta in 1996 and nearly qualified for Sydney in 2000 though she withdrew from the Trials due to injury age 23 Dominique Moceanu withdrew from the Sydney Olympics due to a knee injury aged 18 years 9 mos.

So does Miller, Podkopayeva, Liukin, Johnson, and Biles. Did you really only notice Raisman? Additionally Khorkina and Gutsu and Mustafina have UB medals and an AA medal; Amanar and Milosovici have VT and AA medals.

She struggled with the triple turn + Popa all throughout Athens, and especially in Event Finals, not to mention the landing deductions on the double double and piked full in. EDIT: She also went OOB (twice actually) after the PFI. No way she should have been on the podium.

Everybody was in 3rd during 1992?? 😅 . Funny thing is that all of the girls were better than Milosovici, who never deserved a 10 in her floor routine.

Onodi for me! She was often underscored IMO, comparatively anyway. Was also cool to see Miller and Gutsu tie for bronze after having such a tight AA battle. The no tie rule at the Olympics now isn’t great IMO

@@plp666 Onodi had a short pass, and Milo took a step after a pass. It could have gone either way.
