Actually Trigon may be evil personified, but the true Darkseid (when you look into his character as a whole along with his entire history) simply put, is the literal platonic and archetypal concept of evil itself, and the being in which all malevolence comes from. Trigon and nearly every other evil being in DC is merely a by-product of Darkseid's existence.

One of the biggest is how he thinks that emanations are avatars, this is not the case at all, emanations are essentially imperfect fragments that come from the Fourth World in a way that's similar to a shadow. These emanations attatch themselves to realities, universes, timelines, continuities, and existences which become the versions of the Fourth World and their characters that we see in the multiverse (and a little bit beyond.) Avatars are created by the emanations to do their bidding, if any version of Darkseid says he doesn't like creating avatars, it's an emanation. Emanations do not appear to be consciously created by Darkseid, this also applies to every other New God along with Apokolips and New Genesis.
