Correction. Tyrant did not duel Thanos to a draw. He clapped Thanos's cheeks. To be fair, Thanos didn't engage Tyrant to defeat him, but to steal from him. Once Thanos had what he wanted, he bounced. Tyrant had the upper hand throughout the entire fight, short as it was.

In actuality, Thanos didn't even need the orb. Thanos literally went to fight Tyrant because he was bored and needed a challenge... something he often does. He always seeks out opponents that might prove more than him. We know this because during the battle he inform Tyrant why he's fighting him. To which Tyrant calls him insane for doing so. An important detail Rob ignored. Thanos routinely seeks out opponents as strong or stronger. Darkseid runs away from them ie Perpetua.

That has absolutely nothing to do with what happened in the comic book, tho. Does Thanos like to engage in challenges, mental and physical, against worthy opponents? Yes. What's also noteworthy about Thanos is, he always has an ulterior motive. His PRINCIPLE motive was to steal from Tyrant. Fighting him to gauge his strength, was just icing on the proverbial cake.

@@kcopara1 Thanos was literally there to steal one of tyrants orbs, which was revealed at the end of the comic tyrant thousands of them, Thanos is my favourite villains so I'm far from a hater, I don't know what Thanos comics you've been reading, but Thanos is a brain tank, even when it comes to beings he's capable of defeating he prefers to avoid physical combat, as he explained in Thanos quest while fighting champion, he imagined a battle with the hulk would be similar, "A conflict I try to avoid". Thanos isn't Goku, Thanos even said in the last issue of cosmic powers after tyrant destroyed the planet they fighting on, I have what I came for. Thanos did indeed lose this fight I've always argued barely, and even though he had the orb, Tyrant again had thousands of them. Thanos put up one hell of a fight, I won't argue if someone says he tied him, I personally think tyrant won. Darksied Running from perpetua is not a low feat bro lol!

I love these character breakdowns. They've provided me so many ideas for MURPG. I'd love to see an analysis of Forget-Me-Not. I know he's another Marvel character but I think he could potentially be much more powerful than people realize

@@54m0h7 at least twice that I can think of off the top of my head. Quasar used it against the Magus in Infinity War and nullified himself which lead to him meeting Oblivion and the time where Morg was written like he was Lobo and used it on Tyrant. That issue was just bad writing period.

I know Thor took Galactus's Power Cosmic. Is there another character who tried taking all heralds' powers to defeat Galactus? I think that could be a cool story. A low level character tricks someone into beating a herald, takes their powers, beats the person that helped him, take the Power Cosmic from other heralds until he gets to the Silver Surfer. By this time, maybe Norrin knows what he's doing, so he gets someone else's help to beat him. That would be a cool story.
In the confrontation with Thanos, Thanos does say that he never intended to go toe-to-toe for victory. He acknowledged that his only goal was to get the orb and peace out, almost like when he fought Odin just to see if he could last.
Rob will never cover that, it's too political for his tastes. He prefers to remain in the political grey area. I can certainly understand why, politics is absolutely insane these days.
@@Rough_Estimates I'm not so sure with those particular characters. I mean their entire origin and purpose for existing is inherantly political in nature. It would be pretty boring as there would have to be no opinions whatsoever, just bunch of boring facts most people already know. Rob tries to blur the lines as much as possible but he does have opinions.

DC comics are boring more times than naught. That's why we have been focusing on Marvel. DC lacks variety and their fans don't call them on that ish. It is all about superman and the justice league. Most characters are a disambiguation of superman or flash or batman. Superman is made to be the most powerful hero. So powerful that he's "immune to reality warping" as ridiculous as that is but that's DC for ya 😂. The real reason, DC wants everything to revolve around one character: superman so very few are allowed to be more powerful than Superman . Marvel doesn't do that ish . A quick example out of many, look at how DC ruined Dr. Manhattan (one of the best characters in comics). Gave his powers to the flash and all he does with it, is run really fast 😂😂. The ruined Ozymandias all of sudden he's being called an idiot by Lex Luthor because everything has to revolve around Superman, batman, justice league and their villains. 🤦♂️. Not dead Rob, he's been NULLIFIED. They better not find a way to write him back into comics. From their own description Galactus shouldn't even remember having built him in the first place. Nobody remembers having fought him or anything like that.
I remember Tyrant he was created to be galactus help. I had this whole story arch in paperback. I like to see him bright back in a major story in present day. Nice one Rob. Hey could you cover the Keeper of galactus next?
