If they don't want to return 1822 and 182 to operation, then they should at least give them to somebody else who could at least cosmetically restore them. That or just, you know. . .give 1822, 182, and 4241 to GVT/Delaware-Lackawanna to either put back into service or use as part sources to keep other ALCO and MLWs in action. My worry is that if the other ALCO hood units are slowly going away, then how much longer does the 365 have to live? Hopefully it's not going away any time soon, seeing as this thing survived the wrath of the Indiana Hi-Rail and lived to tell the story. Also, I believe the 365 is ex-L&N and I believe it's also ex-Monon; we can scrap CPR and CN ALCOs 'til the cows come home, but if we scrap a Monon ALCO this late in the game, somebody is losing a hand.

They already sold 1822, 4241, and 182 to LTEX, and it is up to LTEX with what they want to do with them, whether it’s scrap them or rebuild them. And yeah, I agree I hope 365 stays (along with them eventually acquiring more hood units), I don’t want to only see FPA-4s. For me having mostly one locomotive type is boring, I liked there being more variation (1822 and 4241 were also my favorites so there was that too)

Also 365 doesn’t have major mechanical faults unlike the other three that were sold. 4241 probably never would have ran again, but 1822 probably could have, though idk how much work was needed

I hope 1822 and 182 get put back into service along with the two passenger cars.

You and me both, but that’s not happening. As far as I know, 1822 is on its way, if not already at, LTEX

@@rcsrailfaningproductions1225 1822 was built in 1958 and I love diesel engines built in the 50s. 182 the blue diesel looks like a GP7 or GP9 and would do great in their roster. By all means, 4241 needs to be sold for money in order to purchase more engines. A railroad is not a railroad without engines to pull the cars. 182 needs to be put in the roster and 4241 needs to be replaced

@rcsrailfaningproductions1225 Месяц назад
@kyletroknya2419 it would be nice, but I stand corrected, as both engines are on their way to LTEX. 1822 & 4241 have major mechanical faults and will not run anytime soon. 182 is an RS-11 high hood and has a hydro locked engine. So in other words, that won’t be happening. 6773 is already up and running and there are more F’s on their way. So in other words, they’ve got 365, 6777, 6771, 6773, 6780, and potentially more

@@rcsrailfaningproductions1225 So 1822 and 4241 will no longer be part of the roster? What will happen to those diesels? Have they been sold to another company? I hope they get F7s or F9s in the future if it’s possible. Those are my favorite diesels from EMD.

@kyletroknya2419 yeah, they’re at LTEX. Might be repaired, but most likely scrapped. As I said, ALCO FPA’s are going to be their primary power. I doubt the CVSR will ever see EMD’s
