I've listened to Sadhguru, Alan Watts, E Tolle, and Ram Dass for about 3 years now just repeatedly listening to videos and taking notes in my journal. Their messages are similar, but Ram Dass delivers in a way that helped me gain my human compassion by looking up, but not forgetting to look down. To be free in form and realize that suffering is grace. Namaste to those that understand and also to those not yet ready. I love you!

@@fntime It really doesn't matter my friend. He's really neither of those things. He's just a spirit within a human experience- maybe what you might acknowledge as consciousness in a body. He's doing the best he can even if it's not up to snuff in your opinion. I'm sure he'd be the first one to tell you that he also considers himself a poser and a fraud. he would also tell you that he considers himself limitless other things. basically, he would rather be free then right.
I met him one year ago today just before he passed. Amazing man, amazing light bearer. Thank you Ram Dass for all the love you brought to this world and beyond.
I wish I had. I imagined the meeting many times and it was always my going to him and saying "Tell me I'm good". I don't know why I felt that way but somehow his "Yes" would have somehow made everything alright. However knowing Baba he would have leaned in and asked "Are you?"

1:10 ish. This is hugely important for where I am right now. I just lost my fiancé to a heart attack unexpectedly and on top of the grief I am swimming in stuff, debt, a small business and a house in the middle of a remodel I can’t complete. Pursuing “voluntary simplicity” will save me.
@@paulagratefulnoend9683 excellent advice that I will share with those who face what we’ve faced. Grieving does need space and time and rest becomes essential. I sold the home to give myself and the business a break. I’m about to have 60 hr work weeks for probably a year (I’m lucky to love what I do) and only because I rested can I manage what’s next.
I really love Guruji’s take on success. Even getting up out of bed for some people with depression is a mark of success. The description on this video makes me want to watch this. I find it interesting the idea of making a profit and being of service to all. Like Apple seems to promote going green etc and they seemed great. Now it’s like their phones are super expensive, still being in China while they promote being earth friendly and not telling customers where they source their materials from. I do think businesses need to not be fake or superficial. If they genuinely care about the earth then they should do a full circle analysis of everything, not just say they went carbon neutral. Haha it’s like what about the child laboring in the Congo to mine cobalt for batteries? Ya know haha we need more transparency or at the very least companies stop being hypocritical.

I had always thought that if reincarnation were a reality that we may have started as a blade of grass (pre-school), then graduated to a tree (grade school)...then a bug (junior high)...then an animal (college)...and finally we made it to the top form...a human. After listening to this lecture, now I'm thinking I got it all backwards...that if reincarnation were a reality that the blades grass are the souls who attained the "Master's Degree" of incarnations.
I know this is an old comment, but no. The highest spiritual evolution is a human being capable of self realization and ultimately liberation from samsara which is completely different from becoming a tree. Many, many spiritual masters over the course of countless millennia have realized these truths and brought them to our consciousness when we are ready.
