When Simone decided to come back, she chose to work with Laurent and Cecile to improve her weakest apparatus (bars) and to push her limits more,because while Amie did great at pacing her, she wanted to see where her own ceiling was.

I wonder how simone wouldve handled her first comeback if amy coached her, i know that simone wanted to push her limits and amy was more focused on consistency and playing it safe (which is funny because the safe routines were still insanely difficult) but i think amy paced her super well, had simone been coached by any other coach, she would likely burn out a year or two into her senior career
Amy was such a good coach for Simones execution, but I think after Rio she just wanted to go out cause she had won everything already and got 3 skills named after her since
