A super quick Melbourne lockdown 6.0 production. This a pre-purchase demonstration of the Bezzera BZ99. A tough little unit, super simple to run. With a 1.5L HX boiler it is fantastic value for money and so easy to use. Look how quick I make a coffee. I could have done it faster if I steamed milk during the shot. But if I had to talk as the same time that would be 3 activities at once and my brain cannot do that :) Let me know if you have any questions about your machine if you have one or if you are thinking about getting one. I have a similar machine, the BZ40MG (rotary pump, plumbed in). 25 years later, it’s still going strong with minimal maintenance, albeit in a home environment.

I‘ve been using a bz99 for 3 years now. Its my parent‘s old coffee machine. It needs little care and minor repair here and there but is pretty reliable. And makes great espresso. I love it! :)

I have one from 1999 and have served me as a small catering unit and for several trainings. It's a little mighty machine. There are a few upgrades available like a swivel steam wand, PID and shot timer once you start your shot. Can get used as low as $300. I paid $500 for my unit several years ago.

I have several machines, the BZ99 is my little one. A 1997 unit that I still use to serve small coffee caterings. They are little war tanks machines.

How wonderful that the 20-year old thing is still going strong. I just bought a the same machine from someone. Unfortunately it is direct connect water version. Can I turn it into a reservoir version? Thanks.

Possibly if you buy every single part: barazicoffeemachines.com.au/products/spare-parts/bezzera-drawings.html

Hi James. How do I get in touch to buy, or trade in a machine? I'm in Tassie

It`s a nice demo! I have the same 99s model. Do you have an information for upgrading this masterpiece? I mean a double pressure meter or/and PID controller installing. Especially about PID. It gives much more precise Temperature stability as some people says. Thank you

Hi Alexander, I just picked up a BZ99 which was rebadged by a catering equipment company in Australia. You have given me an idea now. Thanks, James

@@espressorestomelbourne1735 I`m definitely going to do this experiment. If you can change extraction temperature by pressing buttons, it is the option for significant change of your espresso taste. If somebody prefers a bitter one- let`s set the temp. up a bit. To reach more sour - drop the temp. down. It would be fantastic in case if that`s true!

should I upgrade to the Rocket Apartamento or Is the BZ99 actually better?

I guess they are not to different in the fact that both have similar size boilers (1.5L v 1.8L) and are both pressurestat regulated. The Apartmento does have an E61 group which is a bit better than the group the Bezzera uses. In the end you can make good coffee on either, if you have a good grinder, a good barista ;) and good coffee.

@@espressorestomelbourne1735 yes the big difference is the E61 I just was not sure if that is better or not I heard I would need to wait much longer for the group to heat up. Thanks for your prompt reply!
