wow it's amazing how well you studied the elevations for all the distances. I never got into sniping when I played that game but it looks pretty amazing.
The funny thing about my videos, I have a fan base for my gaming videos and a seperate fan base for my shooting videos. Trying to keep both happy takes alot of time and effort. My next few uploads will be gaming based, while I build up my media library for the new shooting series which will start in the spring/summer.
Yeah, I kind of skipped out on the Armored Fury expansion as well. I only liked instant vehicle spawn for when I was practicing flying jets but I only did that in unranked servers. Flying in normal games only to get taken down 20 seconds later by the person you just killed really was a buzzkill. Aftermath is nice as infantry and the crossbow is a great addition to the recon kit.
To each his own. I find the crossbow is far more useful than the SOFLAM. But I still prefer to use the MAV. Its a great stealth weapon, and is highly effective at close to medium range. The only real down side is the speed of it...SO SLOW. I was trying to give it a chance, and show people that its not as useless as you suggest it is. Its an option with some versatility, but very few people use it now that the hype is gone.
Ah I see. I was really looking foreward to the armoured fury expansion maps for the size and long range sniping. But the AC-130 gunship totally killed the mood of the maps for me. Especially when every server seems to run instant vehicle spawn. I hate that, you spend a good 3 minutes dieing just to take down a helicopter only to have him back at it 15 seconds later. LAME! The aftermath expansion have been more up my alley, even though the maps are smaller. Hopefully end game is good.
I'm not sure if increased magnification increases glare, I might need to test that. 4X scopes or higher have glare for sure. This is why I like the 3.4 scope for stealth operations.
depends on maps. I prefer 64 for large maps, and 32 for smaller. Metro conquest is best with only 16-24 players. But 32-64 is the normal range I look for with it mostly full.
No that was my mistake. Armoured fury is an expansion in BF2. Armoured kill is the expansion in BF3. I used the wrong name. Armoured Kill is what I meant.
thats one thing I haven't fully tested yet. If it has glare then I would say its less than other scopes because of how often I an not found using the xbow.
Does the scoped version have glare? It looks like the 7x scope which does have glare but snipers never notice you. Also does the magnification on scopes increase the glare? Keep up the great vids :)
Oh cool, on ps3 the loading screen info said thet 8x or higher had scope glare, I never knew that 4x had glare, ill use the 3.4x from now on, maybe you could do a slot on scopes and glare on the recon manual 5.1 Thanks for the help and keep up the great vids :D
out-dated stuff right there, the MAV doesnt kill anymore and if you do, you get banned by EA/DICE, its concidered glitching and the bullet tracers from sniper-rifles are now a total pain to see, I have a very hard time noticing it, luckily i do know my rifle (HK417 w/ silencer+ 8/12x scope or L96 w/ silencer+ 8/12x scope) by heart
I haven't unlocked it yet. I have been working on getting good bolt gun footage for the next video and have not been focusing on the assignments yet. I would assume that its the best choice, suppressed with the tac light...sweet. But I've always been a fan of the 443 suppressed or G18 suppressed. What do you think of it? FYI: weekdays 8-10PM mountain time is when I usually play BF3.
You can try Arma 2 for free and tell your friends to download it for free too at Steam. I don´t see why any of you wont find any fun in those kind of games. Oh and, when will the manual for bolt action rifles will come out?
The internet is full of people who don't have a brain to mouth/keyboard filter. They have no idea what constructive critisism is. As long as the majority of people learn something then my work is worth the effort.
i completely disagree about the crossbow. it just a toy that says "look at me, i raged my way through 2 dozen rounds of scavenger, and all i got was this stupid crossbow". all of the stuff it replaces is more usefull, so i dont even know why its there.
is it only me or do the new endgame maps suck for sniping? too many hills, too many vehicles, also every soldier is on a dirtbike :/ would love to have some cool sniper fights on those maps
