This is a step by step guide on how to install our Black Forest Industries GSB Golf Ball shift knob into your DSG or Auto Volkswagen or Audi vehicle. These are our latest versions for your car that replace the ugly and clunky factory knob and allow you to select your gears simply by pulling up on the ball. We have revised our mechanism for a seamless and simple install that takes only a few minutes and can be accomplished with minimal tools.

Ive seen on previous shift knobs that some people use loctite, is it recommended to use it anywhere on this knob?

If you want to use loctite, it would only go on the two clamp screws at the bottom of the knob, and ONLY use loctite 222 (purple), Red or Blue would be too strong. That being said, with our revised clamp design, you shouldn't need loctite at all.

It will technically fit, however due to the design of the MK4 automatic specifically the clamp portion and set screws will be visible

Yes, the interior on the E-Golf is the same as a standard Golf - so these will work just as well in an E-Golf!
