The product itself is very good although the installation requires a lot of hassles and hiccups for those who do not have sturdy hands. It would be better if the installation is much simpler.
Been saving up for a long time now... I have 4K currently and looking to save 10-12K for my first car (which, I'm hoping it'll be a i128 or i135) I can find them at that price with around 60k miles on average. IS this a good choice for someone looking to stage 2+? I priced everything and should only come out to around 3K.
amazing. how do i get work done to my 128i? it's go rims, tint, a warm air intake and a few oil leaks. only 85k miles. I want to do a lot to it but idk where to go or what to do. I could order all the parts but idk how tf to do any of this XD
Beautiful car. That wrap epic. Love everything about the car. 1 own a white 2012 135i. I've added some aftermarket accessories, but nothing on this level, but I'm definitely inspired. Thanks for bringing this type of content to the channel. Keep it coming.
VOUCH: I stand by this being one of the single best upgrades you can do to the suspension on these cars...better than lowering springs, rear sway bars, etc. The increased connectivity of these bushings + increased negative camber (from strut mounts) is king for handling, and transformative on a FWD chassis. Even in a straight line: I could hook in 1st gear, from any mph roll, on 245 street tires, when I first installed upgraded my front LCAs...making 320whp/380wtq through a DSG GTI (SE). Let that sink in. The stock deflection is damn near dangerous on the OE LCAs, as the voided rubber begins to slacken and flex like a rubber chicken under steering and torque loads. It's bad in this BFI video; it's so much worse under real-world loads with these cars. My OE bushings were trashed by 40k miles, mostly normal driving and spirited cornering. The actual toe angle would change horrifically under power from the flexing bushings, and would scrub up front tires while producing horrible squeals and wheel spin. Upgraded bushings/LCAs fixed all of this instantly. Folks spend lots of money on motor/trans mount upgrades to battle wheel hop/spin, when they should really be starting here. (dogbone mount/upgrade is the most critical on that front) (LIKE if this comment helped you in your MQB quest for greatness) 🍻 ✌
Please show a better picture of all the tabs. I find it difficult to know how the tabs are attached and how to release them. Going someplace else to figure this out.
I can see myself and others accidentally bumping into the shifter and shifting into park or reverse by accident. I like the concept but idk about how safe it will be. 4:10
It's exactly what I've always wanted to do to my 1 series 128i but I'm limited by time and money!! excellent video, excellent work, they are the best guys!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Your shift boots are atrocious products. Terribly made. Just got mine and it's crooked as all hell. It's too thick and it snapped my shift boot frame when trying to set it in place due to the thickness of the leather and the stitching on the ends. You should sell them with an integrated shift boot. Buy a 3D printer and get on that. Just charge an extra 10-15 bucks. Did a qucik google and found this is a problem for many trying to install your shiftboots. Hopefully Urotuning refunds me and I'll buy the integrated boot/frame that's sold on ebay. Very disappointing, I run you motor mounts and a shift knob.
When removing the driver side control arm on a 2010 MK5 VW Jetta, front bushing side (the pain in the ass bolt side where it hits the tranny pan) Can I support the trans with a block and jack, undo the frame side tranny mount bolts and jack it up a inch to clear that little mf? Thanks. I am in a pickle of a pickle right now, year end 2023.
E82 is the BMW Chassis Code - It refers to the coupe version of the E8X 1 Series (E81 is the 3 door hatchback, E87 the 5 Door and E88 the convertible and so on..)
The install shown in this video is on an Alltrack Steering wheel (sportwagen). While technically the interior is the VW Atlas - the wheel shown is from a 2018 Alltrack (The 2018 Atlas doesn't come with paddles).
