I really hope they do since I helped get them into the BFS scene. The Zephyr BFS Launch was truly successful, but unfortunately their Valiant Eagle BFS bombed. I have written to their CEO when I heard about this reel in April during a Fishing show in China; however, I have not heard back from Them. The reel seems to be a bit steep in price indeed... With the value of Yen down, I think most people would throw in another 100 dollars and get a JDM reel imported.
@@rawrfishing yah I mean I’m new to the bfs game and bought a zephyr just cause it was the easiest purchase and low cost to make sure I would enjoy it as much as I thought I would and yah I’m hooked I am saving up for a premium jdm reel and trout rod but if the kestrel is comparable I would definitely have a hard choice to make because I do love kast king.
I love kastking too. I was part of their KBA team, which is why I was able to convince them to get into the BFS scene. I just hope they still love me even though I left LOL...
It is tougher than it looks. Panfish seems to be gone as well. Not sure what is going on.. But the lure is fun! Grab one and try it out before the panfish spawn is gone
looking to get into the bfs stuff, can you recommend a budget friendly rod for small crappie crankbaits? Love throwing small crappie cranks but spinning gear gets annoying... prob need a light power with a moderate to moderate fast action?
@@rawrfishing the avg is probably 1/8 oz so that would be 3.5 grams? rapala ultra lites... the heaviest ive seen are the mr. crappie slab hammers, theyre like 1/4 oz

on this Aldebaran BFS 22 how many feet did you put in the spool ? for my needs i need something easy 150+ feet of line in a spool... i will be using 8-10 braid line ...thanks

The value of Yen is down and many people are importing this reel from places like Digitaka for about 30-40 dollars less than usual? great time to buy anything from japan if u are into JDM products. I don't know what popper you have used, but a popper should pop. some may walk. not sure if the snap caused any issues, but u can always take it off and see if it works. Yes kayak fishing blew up during the pandemic. many places have their fishing kayaks sold out and back ordered. Only cheap stuff are available at stores lol.

There was a lot of older and younger people on kayaks. Even the boards you paddle around in. 2 older people were stranded at ramp when we came in. They couldn't load kayaks on car so my friend helped, and yes they started because of covid. A belated happy father's day, feels good right👊. Ty
Matzuo is now an american company. they got bought out :P I believe they make budget friendly products rather than high end stuff. Yeah some folks takes forever to load their stuff on the boat ramp lol. gets interesting when drama is at the ramp! I sit back and watch drunk boaters start problems all the time lol. Saved for a year to get what I have now but I miss the bait casters every time I go fishing . The feeling of the reel is amazing, that rat nests are aggravating some days.
