As far as most people not from that era probably didn’t know he went solo after NWA’s last album. Shock of the Hour was ok..but I never put it on the same level of any of Ice Cube’s first solo albums of that time, including Lethal Injection. And none of his follow up albums were that great.

@DonJohn139 Better is an argument; I'll give you that👍 "Way better" is absolutely absurd, tho, brugh ✋️😂 Cube vs. D.O.C. is a debate about style more so than lyricism, in my opinion. They were two excellent MCs with two completely different styles. I preferred Cube's more west coast, to-the-point style👍 Moreover, his subject matter was more relatable and diverse. On the other hand, D.O.C's style was more classic New York "braggadocio"; think LL Cool J, etc. Even he said (from his own lips) that he hadn't said much on his first album aside from how dope he was 🤷‍♂️ And "No One Can Do It Better" was hella raw & all, but it doesn't compare to the nuclear bomb that was "Amerikkka's Most Wanted". That project had subject matter for days!! I respect your digging D.O.C. more👍 Just thought I'd add some depth for clarity. In any case, MC Ren doesn't even belong near this debate ‼️💯🤷‍♂️😂
