Out of all origin characters I think people understand Gales character development and endings the least. “Power” and/or getting what a character wants “Ascension/Godhood/Vlaakiths Favor” can, in fact, be the worst choice. Monkeys Paw.
This isnt pathetic. I personally think this is preferable to becoming a god, because Gale would basically lose his humanity and just be pure ambition. I personally think its better story telling for the bragging wizard to become a humple teacher. To put his talents to use to teach future wizards.
My god, this isn't pathetic, this is the most wholesome and good ending for Gale I totally agree to what the previous writers say. I didn't play him as an origin yet. But romancing him and listening was enough for me to understand that was mentioned before and and even more so. I would see the ending i know, worst to best: Dead Gale and Raphael has the Crown of Karsus - worst ending God Gale with a very much unsettling Ego - bad/ evil ending Waterdeep Professor Gale - Good and Wholesome ending Children - stop making such immature comments and grow up before you judge, please. :P
@@AlexKGB You can actually do a lot with Illusion spells, you just have to read more about the school of Illusion. In D&D it's also actually has some useful spells for battle, too. Distracting enemies and what not. But i won't discuss with you anymore Just saying: What is so much better for you, doesn't have to be the same for others. You see that several poeple here feel the same as me. So you might just consider the sound if your video title better next time. It may offend somne people
I disagree, too many choices in the game are already black and white evil and good, case in point Astarion, at least give us ambiguity and out of bounds conclusion
I feel illusion fits Gale better. He deluded himself tons of time with illusions of grandeur and it is easier to stop a fight with an intimidating illusion than fireballing the room like oh so many wizards before. Fits Gale's disinterest in conflict better as well.
Want to know why? One of the people working on Gale's dialogue said another person on the writing staff seemed way to invested in roleplaying as him. If you look up the writers for BG3, you can see which ones tried to imagine themselves being/looking like Gale. It's why they changed his original taking of the crown ending.
@@JKUSMC64 How is he a hypocrite? He was up front an honest about being ambitious. He spent the game with a nuke in his chest because he didn't know it was part of the Karsite Weave, not because he actively pursued it. He thought it was part of Mystra's weave and his intent was to return it to her. Also, he DID manage it just fine without us...for a year. That mechanic of having to give him items is for storytelling.
