i'm really mind blown right now. like seriously!!! A WHOLE HIGH SCHOOL DANCE TEAM ON POINTE!?!?! i mean i do ballet but i think its so cool the whole team does that. And even though theres girls with stronger technique that others they did an amazing job! this is my fave dance team video so far! :D
WTF DID I JUST WATCH!? This might seriously be the COOLEST thing ever. EVER. I was on a drill/pom team but also in ballet at the time and would have KILLED for a team like this at my school! How do you get so many girls on pointe?? You can kinda tell a few of them didn't have ballet backrounds but still...the training and skill! And those fouettes! You ladies are lucky to have this...and black&red to boot!
at first i was watching this and got a little upset because i didnt think they knew what they were doing on pointe, but they shut me up and i loved it! i really did! im showing this to me dance students!!! :)
@MissPointeDance the scary thing is, not all of them had ever been en pointe. They had eight months to learn how and with that time frame in mind they did an amazing job
wow... i'm speechless.... that was amazinggggg. everyone's legs were perfect and the Fouetté turns were flawlessly perfect. don't know if that can get any better.... well the faces were a bit much... i say tone it down a bit
I loved that they performed in point shoes, it was amazing!!! I’m just a little confused because when I performed competitive dance in our kick number we had to do so many kicks to qualify for it to be a kick routine 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ I guess times have changed
Loving the idea of pointe! It was really amazing but on a serious note you shouldn't be allowing the girls to be on pointe if they have not had the apporiate Ballet Traning and you could most definantly tell who did and who did not. This could have been a very DANGEROUS situation for those girl who did NOT have the appropriate training. Just saying.but overall you girls did an amazing job and I don't think anyone else could have pulled this off as well.
This was an interesting idea but, honestly, the lack of turn out and overall ballet technique is severly lacking. Professionals work so hard to obtain even the basics of technique en pointe and 4 years or a few months in highschool drill pointe is not the way to obtain pointe mastery. I think this routine should have stayed as just a fun idea.
They recruit directly from ballet studios usually, and many of these girls have done ballet for years. Also this is a KICK routine NOT a ballet routine so the fact that you are criticizing this routine for not being at classical ballet standards is unfair, and completely against the purpose of this dance.
These girls were on pointe! As I watched they were all in Sync. Think before bashing a team were I can actually say, if they never had ballet or wore pointe, commen sense, they would not do a perfected, difficult number as this was. You can tell how well trained they ALL ARE! Great Job Ladies this number was pure genius and loved it! Gold winning program.👍 👏👏
@Carol15ina lol i'm on a drill team and that is not the point of drill. the exact definition of drill team is "a group trained, esp. for exhibition purposes, in precision marching, the manual of arms, etc." not ridiculous faces
@paysetter5 What do you want them to be, perfect? It's highschool. You probably arent anywhere near as good as them. Bountiful's drill team is amazing, only a few times ddid they mess up, THIS DANCE WAS AMAZING SO BYE.
amazing on pointe! they seriously need to calm down on the facials though...i hate a-e-i-o-u facials so much...its just so fake but at least they have a ton of energy! good job girls!
