The Mig-21 Fishbed is still a viable opponent regardless of its age. In combat it is the pilot skills that make an ace, or wind up a victim of another. Planes are only half the equation. Old plane experienced pilot can down bad pilot in new 21 century jet. It can happen any time any place. Also beautiful bird love the Mig-21 Fishbed, on my top 10 list of Modern fighters. Mig-23 Flogger and SAAB 37 Viggen tie at number one on my list of all time modern jets fighters.
