I remember being in jail reading the Bible in whispers to myself. I thought my cell mate was already asleep. He wasn't. He didn't get mad. Instead, he asked me to keep reading because it calmed him down and it helped him sleep. I guess it doesn't matter who reads It. The Word will always work wonders

Anyone wonder why she isn’t posting ?

As much as I wish it did, asmr doesn't do anything to help with the mass amounts of loneliness that plague this world. Many of us come to these channels looking for a replacement and a fulfillment of what we're longing for in life but we never find it. Asmr is nice but it can't replace real love and intimacy. But so I've heard, Jesus is the Way and the Truth and the Life. He fulfills your needs like no human can... But I guess I'm just going through a "season" or something because I can't even get what I deeply need from Him. I'll keep going though. I know that some day He'll help me. I have hope. This may be too deep for a RU-vid comment but here it is haha May God bless us. We need it.

im wondering if youve ever heard of Saints like Ignatius, Polycarp, Irenaeus, Clement of Rome, Justin Martyr etc? The immediate successors and students of the apostles. I think reading their works is important, considering they were all bishops. For example Ignatius was bishop of Antioch, one of the first Churches that Peter and Paul established. Unfortunately for Protestants, the apostles didnt establish baptist, or non-denominational Christianity. How many times does Jesus say the bread and wine is truly his Body and Blood?

Hi - can we please stop all this Catholic 'trinity' nonsense - it's not in anywhere in the Bible, certainly not in the passage you quote - and the only argument for it there's ever been is the 'comma Johanneum' which isn't in any modern or study Bible, because it's now recognised as Catholic nonsense, added, and not original. In fact, trinity doctrine is borrowed from paganism - please study this before making comments amounting to false doctrine. God bless.

I watch, on occasion, the Atheist Experience of Austin and I noticed that religious groups have purchased ad time on their episodes. So I, an atheist, am going to turn that around on you religious people and post some questions and comments for you using your bible ASMR video. I will be very specific. 1) Why, after over 2000 years are you still having to convince people that god is real? Do you have to convince anyone that the sun is real? Or that trees are real? How about shoes? Or food or cars? Of course not. Why? Because you can see, touch and/or experience these things every day. In other words, you have empirical evidence of their existince unlike your god. 2) Faith. You constantly talk about faith. Faith in god. Faith in miracles. Faith in gods plan for your life. Do any of you know what the definition of faith is? I'm paraphrasing but it's basically the belief in something without any evidence. Why would you do that? You are being manipulated by the church because they understand something that you apparently don't. People are very vulnerable to the power of suggestion. Tell someone something long enough and they will eventually believe it no matter how absurd it is. And please don't tell me that the bible is evidence of gods existence.It's just a book. If that were true then we'd have to start believing in Orcs and Elves and Middle Earth and the Shire because Lord of the Rings is also a book. 3) Guilt and fear. First they tell you to "forsake not the gathering of yourselves together" basically meaning go to church 3 or 4 times a week every week. And when you get there what do you most often hear? You are a sinner loathsome in gods eyes (guilt) and you face an eternity of unimaginable torture and suffering unless you repent, throw yourself at the feet of god and beg forgiveness for a sin you didn't commit (fear) Which brings me to my next question. 3) Original Sin. So we, as humans, are guilty all these years later of something that that Adam and Eve supposedly did. This is disturbing, psychotic behavior. It would be like me punishing my son for something my daughter did even though he had nothing to do with it. And when he asked me why I would simply say to him that you both have to be punished. No other explanation needed or given just like the bible. Oh, and by the way your children will need to be punished and so will their children and so on forever. Here are a few more things I would like an answer to. How do you justify these things clearly written in your "holy book." The condoning and even promotion of slavery. An army being ordered to attack a city and kill everyone including babies and animals. Except of course for the young virgins girls who were to be kept alive and taken captive ( gee I wonder what for) The ridiculous notion that one very old man and his family could, by themselves, build a giant boat and gather together two of EVERY species of animal on earth. This is logistically impossible and without a doubt one of the most ludicrous stories ever told. How would you keep the polar bears from eating the seals or keep the lions from attacking the antelope? How would you keep all these creatures lying quietly in their stalls?. Or would just let them wander around the boat at their leisure? How would you deal with the tons of animal feces? How would you sanitize the inside of the arc to keep it free of disease? It saddens and even scares me to think that there are millions of people who actually believe this ridiculous myth. I could go on, believe me, but I'm growing a little weary of the thought that there really are millions of simple minded, ignorant people who actually believe this ridiculous tale. One last note: are there any religious apologists out there willing to try to logically and rationally answer these questions. I guess we'll find out.
