Christian ASMR - ✝️ My Testimony ✝️ - Up Close Whispering 

I attended a Presbyterian church in New Zealand since I was 4-5 years old. A lovely European women named Marian used to pick me and my little brother up for church every Sunday for almost 10 years. This was because my parents are Ethiopian Christian Orthodox and don’t believe in attending any other churches. I was religious as a child but never knew who the lord was at church. I was a knowledgeable young christian but not a saved one. I knew what sin was but I didn’t know how to overcome it. I became a professional “hopscotch sinner” going back-and-forth with my youthful lusts . I used to think “god must really hate me for this” and “he won’t forgive me” “at least I’m not a bad person” “at least I’m not as bad as my friends”. Looking back I now know those were lies the devil fed me with to keep me in bondage. “Since God won’t help me I don’t think he’s real”. This lead me down the atheist/agnostic path all throughout my 2nd year of high school. However, this all changed when I was invited to a small church by a friend of mine a year later. A retired evangelist in crutches named pastor Barry reed preached to the congregation. I knew God was with this man because I felt the conviction of the Holy Spirit that day. I spoke to him after the service and I remember Him asking me “do you know Jesus” “do you walk with him” and I responded with “I don’t know but I’ll figure it all out”. He said “you can’t walk the Christian life without Christ”. That was 8 years ago when I was 16 and he’s been my closest friend ever since. My desire to know the lord grew but my desire for sin was sadly greater in my heart. In bondage to porn and masturbation, still going back-and-forth, wanting the lord but holding onto my sins. This would go on for a long time until I was 23. I went for A walk on “one tree hill” here In Auckland and the lord started speaking to my heart and I started to cry under a tree. I cried out to him to truly save me from my sins, porn and Masturbation primarily because I kept stumbling on these in my walk with him. He heard me and saved me and I haven’t stumbled since. Jesus through my pastor has been helping me to this day on “how to get the victory over my sins”. The road is narrow and difficult but I thank the lord everyday for freeing me and bringing me to this place of peace. You need his blood to cleanse you of all unrighteousness. Get on your knees and cry out to him, Jesus save me! Like how Peter cried out “save me Jesus” when he was sinking into the water. What did Jesus do? He reached out his arm and grabbed him despite Peter taking his eyes off Jesus. He’s faithful! Pour your heart out. Confess your sins and repent! Don’t be naïve, sin is more powerful than you. It took a God to deal with it! And your going to need him and his power to deal with yours. something my pastor always tells me. Thus you’ll need to turn away from your sins by any means necessary. Deal with your sinful thoughts at the first stirring. Don’t sit on that lustful thought! Don’t play around with it! Read the word! Use scripture! Have a prayer life! Use the moment of temptation as a moment of glorifying God. “I thank you lord that I’m no longer that man Or women I used to be”. Bring your thoughts into captivity as the scripture says. The Bible says to flee youthful lusts. I had to delete my Instagram and Snapchat account because it eventually lead me to porn. Just as I was extreme in my sinning I had to be extreme in my repenting! That was one of my many “costs of discipleship”. It’s not easy following and obeying the lord but it’s the best life to live. We are battling our own sinful nature, the world, and the devil. That’s three against one. But Christ became flesh, was tempted by the devil and overcame the world! And I can too because my heart is hidden in Christ and he abides in me and I in him. He’s given me this hope to continue and a spring In my step. Given me A heart that doesn’t want to sin and made me a citizen of heaven. Amen. Thanks for reading. Forgive me I know it’s long guys. It’s my first time sharing anything personal online. My mom had many broken relationships and marriages with men before I was born and during my first few years of life. When I was 5 she moved us - including my older brother and sister- back to her home state where her family was. Not long after moving back she met another woman who was homosexual and ended up in a relationship with her. On top of that, my relationship with my father faded quickly since I was a few states away. So growing up without my dad and now in a homosexual household in the 90’s was such a struggle. I had anxiety, depression and paranoia from always thinking that someone was talking about me because of my home life. I even had someone accuse me of being “gay” which was so far from the truth for me. That really hurt my soul after everything I was going through. I met my best friend in 6th grade and her family began taking me to church. I prayed for my mom for YEARS and honestly lost hope at times thinking she would never change. I would talk to her about the Bible- which she believed in God and had read the Bible but wouldn’t allow herself to believe that there was anything wrong with homosexuality. After so many years, God delivered my mom from that life about 2 1/2 years ago. She lived that life for almost 30 years...30!!! Talk about deliverance!! 🙌🏼 She moved to a new town, bought her own house, and lives 2 doors down from my aunt (her sister) who is her best friend and they take care of each other. There is so much more to my story but I will end here. God never gave up on my mom. Even though I felt that he did or that she would never change or see the truth, it just took much much time. Her and my aunt found a new church and live for the Lord daily. I’m so thankful to God for delivering her.

Lord, please let your truth shine out from this person’s heart as a beam of light that will cast on to their loved ones so it can’t be ignored. Soften their hearts and open their eyes so that they may see your light and see how You are working in this person’s life. ​@American Ganja Hey! I am glad to see your interest in researching Christianity, although it does not seem as though it were quite thorough based off of statements in your comments. 1. Jesus' Death You mentioned that Jesus was crucified by the Romans, which is correct. However, the notion that Jesus was a fraud is simply false. The Romans quite literally placed Jesus' body in a tomb with a massive stone in front of the entrance. The tomb was sealed and soldiers were stationed around the tomb. All of these efforts were done in an attempt to prevent those who believed Jesus' claims (and proof) of Him being the Son of God from stealing His body and claiming that He had risen again. The Romans made sure it would be impossible for any human to take Jesus' body and fabricate a story about a resurrection. That being said, three days later, Jesus reappeared. The tomb had not been tampered with and the guards had been there all day every day. It became immediately clear that Jesus was in fact the Son of God and had been brought back to life. No one has ever found Jesus' body either. If he was believed to have been a fraud, there would have been a massive hunt for his body as this could easily disprove Christianity, yet it was never found. Not only that, but Jesus' first appearance after His resurrection was to women. In this time period, women were not socially seen as credible sources. They were not even legally allowed to testify. So, if someone were to make up this entire story, they would have Jesus' first eyewitnesses be men. There is much more evidence for the resurrection of Jesus Christ that you could uncover through further research, but for the sake of this comment being extremely long, I will leave it at that for now. 2. Racism, Sexism I am interested to see where you have found supposed racism and sexism in the Bible. Please let me know as I think there may be a misunderstanding of the Scriptures. On a final note, I would encourage you to continue to research Christianity by looking at evidence from both sides. If one spends much time searching for evidence from only one source, shouldn't he also research evidence from the other side? God Bless + I look forward to hearing back from you.

The lord hasn't "proved" anything since he spewed vile into a book (allegedly) thousands of years ago. ...And even all that really "proved" was how bloodthirsty the concept of a Christian god is.

You certainly are not alone!! I’m around her age as well and recently born again (only 6 months ago!!) it is a journey that goes slowly and quickly all at once. God is with us through it all and we are all on this same journey together. I believe that God will help you keep your faith and grow your strength when facing sin. Prayers for you!! Amen

I was so blessed by this. I was especially encouraged when you added more to saying how when you and Kenny stopped having sex it didn’t happen overnight, but you were able to when you both brought the Lord into it. I also found it funny when you mentioned your old look/style. When your channel was first starting out I think I saw a pic you had up and was curious about your sexual orientation. So strange how we make assumptions off of people’s looks! Thank you for sharing your testimony with us, it will bless many others I’m sure.

The Lord is working with me in this area too! I find it helpful to view other people as my brothers and sisters in Christ. Almost like siblings. And understanding that feelings of romantic love and passion are solely for someone we are in a marriage covenant with ♥️ Hope this helps you too and praying for the Lord to help comfort and guide you!

Fighting lust is a very difficult battle, especially with the internet. Check out Dangerous Men United if you are interested in a super helpful resource. It helped me and taught me how fight the sin and live in freedom from sin.

As someone who went to a Christian school, please be a teacher who teaches God’s character and the origins of the Bible. I actually grew to hate God because of the way some of my Christian teachers invalidated my feelings and doubts towards God

Hey Annabelle, You're not alone in dealing with depression. I too suffer from it from time to time, I want to encourage you God is always with us. He never leaves us or forgets us! Don't believe the lies satan whispers to you. I understand you are young, but guess what? God wants to use you, he has a purpose for you and has the most amazing plans for you! I know life can be overwhelming and your parents don't always understand what your going through. Talk to them, let them know what your going through, communication is so important especially when you are so young. Please don't cut yourself honey, when your hurting and are depressed please talk to someone you trust. Your parents need to know your having problems, it doesn't matter what those problems are you got to let them know. I know they love you, they love you more then you realize right now. Talk to your sister, if shes older and can relate to what your dealing with. I pray you are having a better day and that you understand that you are not alone. Jesus Loves you so much and so does your family! Hopes my comment helped you somehow.

You are blessed. I wish I had given myself completely to God sooner. I fell into temptation of the sins of the world. Now there are some mistakes I can never take back because I chose to follow myself instead of following God. I keep praying and know God will restore me but I grieve so much too. Please pray for me. And may God always be with you.
