Bible Study Desk Set Up | Desk Tour / Bible Study Space Ideas 

I was contemplating getting rid of a rolltop desk that was a wedding gift from my mom 39 years ago. It served me well as a home office long ago, and has been used in different places, but since the computer era really took off, it’s just not very functional for the way we work in our office spaces these days. Then I realized that it would be a great place to put all my Bible study materials, and a few things for writing notes and letters to people, old style, putting stamps on envelopes and mailing them. And the drawers also have some things for my planters But the main thing is that all I have eight. Nooks where I can store, my Bibles, reference materials, and whatever faith based books, I am studying at this time. And there is also room for a few notebooks, and even the niche in front of me is deep enough to add two more stacks of material. With a bright lamp above, it doesn’t even have to be a bright day to read and write easily. I treated myself to bamboo organizers for the center drawer for pens, pencils, postage, clips, extra pans, erasers, etc. Very convenient and I love how the color of the bamboo blends so nicely with the wooden interior of the drawer. My rolltop desk has a new lease on life, helping me study the way, the truth and the life.

My desk is really small next to my bed. I love that I can shut my door and study when I am able to. I do have to keep things off my desk though because my toddler will want my markers 😂 I do admire your setup, and hope to have something similar to yours when I have more space.💜

Today, I was inspired by your video to use my bible, studies, and devotionals as well. I also write in a journal, but I don't really break down the scriptures like you. I'm lucky, I guess. I have a computer table that my dad set up this year. It's nice. It's in my living room area, I'm in a studio. It's for my computer. And I have a writing desk tucked in a corner with a spot for my Bible. I got the desk for free though. I was happy. Where I was volunteering, they were getting new desks. I put my name on it, and came back a few hours later with my two uncles and a truck. Oh, and I got Wi-Fi this year, so I can read a tablet on my writing desk.

Super cute setup! I had a space similar to yours in my last place but now I’m at the kitchen table and coffee table! It is harder not having an organized, cute, and serene space to stay in the word but I’m making it happen! I enjoyed seeing your setup! I tend to move around to study--outside if the weather's nice, at the kitchen island if my daughter's awake and I want to be nearby, at my desk when I have some alone time, etc. But I can definitely see the value of having a set time and place to read and study. Hi where did u get the brown wood thing on your desk that’s holding your bibles? Love that, it’s perfect for top of the desk. And where did u get the white stand up have your laptop on? That’s great too, it allows for more space. Great video. I have a whole pink room as my craft/fun space and a large vanity in my room that I use as a makeup vanity/desk too. When it comes to enriching my worship mornings… I want this… not coveting what you have but I’ll have to talk to the Lord before I spend money on it. I need to get out my DG studies and books so I know what I have and don’t duplicate. My room is MESSY. I have an IKEA desk and Alex drawers, 2 rolling carts, a rolltop desk, my big keyboard and a cubicle shelving unit. I have a ton of happy planners and sticker books. Too much stuff equals MESS.

I’m more of a Mary. My office is too distracting so I’ve gone back to my dining room table with a highlighter and my Bible. ❤

I scanned / read most of the comments, but I did not see my question (I’m sorry if I missed it and your reply). What kind of highlighters do you use in your Bibles? Do they bleed through the thin pages? I have used the Staedtler Bible Study Marking Kit (special colored pencils), but they are starting to dry out a bit and become brittle over the years. Also, they are difficult to use on smooth pages (and the color is too light).
