Boaz was decades older than ruth, calling her, " daughter" numerous times, to me this is not a love story of ruth and Boaz since it's out of desperation they marry, she needed a kinsman redeemer and he was the only one who could provide her sons and redeem her land. ( the original kinsman didn't want to marry her due to his sons) then in order to have him marry her, she sleeps at his feet in an act of manipulation done by Naomi who knew that if Boaz was seen with ruth at night he would be forced to marry her anyways. i don't think we should idolize this " love story" when it's a story of Gods love for us not Ruths love for Boaz or boaz's love for Ruth. God provided for the need she had for sons and protection as a Moabite woman. this isa story about how God heals and redeems the heart of individuals in his providence not of marital love nor should it be a guideline about romantic love.
