I felt so powerful when I was demonized , until I was in the middle of suicide ready to kill myself very far away from God , I wasn’t looking for God at all I was looking to die and God showed up at that very moment he found me ! He stepped it and saved me he showed me his love forgiveness power and mercy! In my desperation searching I was blessed to find a church that had a Deliverance Ministry it took 3 sessions of prayer and repentance to God and I was set free ! I was baptized in water and in the Spirit ...Iam no longer a slave to Satan and his dominions ! I’ve been set free ! Free indeed ! Chains are broken !! IAm a new creation ! To God be the Glory ! So be it
deliverance is in Christ only and demons are impures spirits who cannot be in us if we are IN Christ. Impures spirits also refer to falses doctrines,the devil is a liar till the beginning.
I'm so relieved to see that there are actually Christians out there who are not afraid to discuss the reality of what is out there in the world. It amazes me that while we serve a God who is a Spirit, many either do not believe in demons/negative spirits, or they are simply to afraid to consider them and/or talk about them. Just thought of the analogy of a policeman. Someone who just newly joined the police force has the same amount of authority to arrest a criminal as a police officer who has been serving for a year or two. This authority was given to them by the government. However, the new police officer may not be as effective in identifying a suspicious person, or as bold in confronting and arresting him as compared to the senior officer. Do both have the same authority? Yes. Does the authority come from the same source? Yes. But one has far more knowledge and experience in exercising that authority!
He’s humble and produces that humility we all need to strive to have when we’re talking about our beliefs and at the same time respecting what others believe. We only have a little scripture for a lot of theology. It’s fun to go down these rabbit holes at the same time respecting others.
Sam’s biblical rebuttal to the “can’t have a demon and the Holy Spirit in the same place” line of thinking was fantastic. I wish I had heard that a couple of years back when I was deeply hurting. Mad respect to Sam for demonstrating high-level biblical knowledge and also a tender pastoral/fatherly heart. This is both liberating and sobering. Liberating from the confusion of not knowing why certain parts of my mind/soul were deeply troubled (potential demonic oppression as I’ve come to find out). Sobering in that I must be watchful of my life and any areas where I may give a “foothold” to the enemy. I’m not impenetrable and should walk thoughtfully and humbly. Also, it felt kinda like an unexpected crossover episode when he mentioned he used to minister with Mike Bickle. That’s dope!
Yes, he made an excellent point, and it would've been helpful in my life as well years ago. I fell into a deep depression and even suicidal thoughts as a born-again Christian minister, and in large part it was due to my ignorance of the enemy's ways. I thank God for His grace, mercy, and power because He brought me through to victory! I now recognize when the enemy comes with those old thoughts, and I give him no place, and God has used me to help others who have been oppressed by the same. All glory to Jesus!
I can attest to having been demonized. I was a new believer and newly baptized in the Holy Ghost. After leaving church one night I was attacked but I didn't understand it then. When we got home we were going to read the bible as a family but I began to feel anxious and angry and I couldn't read. I went to my room where I slandered God, wanted to be left alone, couldn't read my bible, couldn't focus, settle myself or pray. The next day my body ached as if I'd had the flu. That night I heard a siren in the distance, I believed it was on the highway near us, and at that moment i felt relief. The next day we learned that a man on the highway near us made a choice to end his life in his car the night before. I knew that I knew that I knew at that I had experienced an attack and this demonic spirit went to where this man was. This happened years ago but looking back now I believe God has used this to prepare me. In the past few weeks God, through His Holy Spirit, has placed in my spirit what my mind could not understand; Ephesians 6:12. This changes my thinking regarding others and how I view people.

Derek Prince was my mainstay as a new believer and he was of tremendous help to me as I went to seances with my mom and not church. I needed strong teaching and instruction and Derek Prince, Lester Summerall and those who understood Spiritual Warfare were huge helps to me and I learned how to maintain my deliverance little by little so the beasts of the field didn’t overcome me, Exodus 23:29 and today those who understand this realm in Truth are my choice til this day Deliverance is only one part of this Maintenance is equally as important and that’s not spoken of as much as deliverance. Its important that people in ministry must commit themselves to the individual on the long term basis how Jackie Pulinger speaks of..that’s what broken, fragmented, misunderstood, people need more than anything.

If you believe and ask boldly for his help he will cast them away. My daughter can see them and when we found God and Jesus they left as soon as we used his name. People don’t believe because they can’t see but we have been free ever since.
Sometimes (as Christians) we need to "tank up" on the Bible. Jesus is the Light of the world. Light can't have any fellowship with darkness. I would try to concentrate on Scripture more than thinking about the devil. God hasn't given us the spirit of fear, but "power, 💕 love, and a sound mind." Also we need to: "Be strong in the Lord and in the Power of His Might." (Ephesians 6:10) and to put on the whole armour of God. (See Ephesians 6:10 up to the end of the Chapter) Jesus Christ conquered Satan when He died on the Cross. Jesus make a show of Satan "openly." He is really a defeated for....

I also think we should try to cast demons out of "the heavenlies or heavenly places." If we do that, they will come to 🌎 earth and try to mess with us. I know this from experience. I will never even think about casting Satan out of the "heavenlies" again. This teaching was really popular in the 1990s and it caused a lot of problems. Years ago when the concept of "pleading the blood" was first given to me, I had a woman that claimed to be a witch came to mothers home with a nephew. Not wanting a physical argument I chose to just be quiet but did to myself under my breath "Plead the Blood". After maybe 3 minutes this lady make a loud gurgling sound in a very deep voice saying "JESUS" as she ran out of the house leaving in her car? WITH ALL THESE PARADES etc. going on, I wonder if a few dozen believers lined up on their routes might stir a response opening up these folks to a need in their lives. No confrontation just a quiet "pleading of the Blood" expressing Christ's authority.

Love your channel guys and love Dr. Storms. My question is where do we have have peace and assurance if we don’t think there’s a difference between possession and oppression? How much of our struggles do we blame on the enemy vs. just living in a fallen world. I think it can be dangerous when we fixate too much on making sure every single sin is confessed and if not, you might get demonized. I just don’t see how that teaching produces peace. I hope that makes sense.
Satan is under our feet. If Satan tries to bother me, I tell him to get lost. I use the Word of God and the Power, Name, and the Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit....
I am new to the gifts of the Spirit, even though I have been saved for 30 years. I prayed to be baptized by Jesus in the Spirit, and I began speaking new tongues. I see visions and interpretations. I have cast out demons twice in just a few months of being filled with the Spirit. It came instinctively from the Spirit through tongues. I also have discernment of spirits, and, I too, FEEL it. I also feel like I could throw up, but not a physical vomiting. Something what I say is like a spirtual vomiting.
I heard a rest message on Jesus seeing Satan falling like lightning and it was that Jesus was there in Heaven when God cast him out and that Gods power was so strong that it wasn’t even a struggle. It was just over.
As a son of the most high God, you were given spiritual senses to see what kind of bondage this woman was in. :) Physical manifestations uncover the enemy and put him at risk in the presence of a believer who knows how to use his or her sword and authority in Christ!
I have a great story to tell about this. Believe me, the demons know your name if you are truly in Christ. A demon knew my friends name and called them by name in a city they visited. Both their names together. Then stared at them when previously the woman was acting like a mentally ill homeless woman with no eye contact...until she called their names and they turned to look at her and she stared them down...scared my brothers so mucn they didnt know how to react...just ran to the nearest starbucks just to sit and reflect. They were initially in a hurry to get back to their car cause the parking meter was soon to expire. Forgot all about that!!

Its everywhere in the world even in your own community. You may think that something or someone is good when it really isn't 🤔. Man, we definitely need more topos (that's in my current vocabulary list for class woo!) places where we teach train in this topic. It reminds me of one of the classes in Hogwarts the defense against the Dark Arts class. This is not just fun fiction but real life! Hear we can also learn from the "global south" where there's more acceptance on this issue. Also there's this fallacy that this only happens abroad. Far from the truth! Spirtual warefare in my personal experience is like a general in command of an army. it may take many spiritual fights with Demons before they begin to recognize as any general on the opposite side would see you as someone to be reckon with. I am speaking of your anointing as a god believer.
@@tomtemple69 When discussing the works of the enemy, the question of origins is useful. The disembodied spirits theory makes sense to me because demons used to have vessels, and now they seek to enter people to experience it again.
The Watch Word in the church is " Ignorance is Bliss " they read the part about being responsible for what they know and stuck their head back into the sand . Ignorance is Bliss !
Another good argument for Christians being demonized, in my view, would be in Galatians three, where Paul asks the Galatians, who has bewitched you, that you should not obey the truth… Also, in one Corinthians 12, evidently people were speaking things under the inspiration of demonic spirit, in verses 1:3. You also have passages like Ephesians 4:27, James 4:7, one Peter 5:8 that would seem to give credence to this idea. This is in addition to places like Luke 13, when the spirit of infirmity was cast out of the daughter of Abraham. Interestingly enough, Jesus did most of his delivering from demons, at least a lot of it in the synagogues. Love, Sam, storms, and his stand for the word and spirit.
Except that in Galatians Paul goes on to say that he could wish the false teachers 'cut themselves off' referring to circumcision, so that clearly is talking about false teachers.

Is there a fine line of walking in our authority/identity in Christ and creating ministry that is only based on casting out demons, exorcisms etc? I’ve seen a few people say they are a Christian and they’re a demonologist and they study demons.
There's nothing wrong with that. It's much better to know your enemy rather then just pretending the enemy isn't there. This is a spiritual battlefield
FEAR is the beginning of EVERYTHING. Fear of ANYTHING but God is sin and opens an avenue of attack. BUT, you MUST follow the law as closely as possible... especially with regards to judging God's use of evil to punish someone - because then you are an accuser.
Maybe here is someone who can answer thisquestion i have: In Daniel 10 an angel is holdup by an other angel: "...Daniel, heaven has heard your prayers, and I have come to answer your prayers, but I was slowed down for 21 days by the prince of Persia." This prince of Persia is mentioned again in verse 20. "Then he said, “Do you know why I have come to you? But now I will return to fight against the prince of Persia; and when I go out, behold, the prince of Greece will come." What can we tell about what this holding up is about... when i have a dispute with someone he can hold me by force or even kill me. What is there in the heavens to slow somebody down? Or even fight with, they can not be killed, or can they? What are we (or angels) fighting with? Can it have something to do with patience, or Love or whatever we are learning here being a Christian on this earth..... The Bible does not tell it but maybe logic can or whatever...
How does one go about including this type of teaching/practice in an evangelical church that has no experience but wants to learn and practice? Same with spiritual gifts and the miraculous? I'm curious about the hosts' and how they've incorporated this stuff in their respective churches. Is it a matter of starting a small group? Starting a ministry within the church? Don't know if that's something that's commonly done but maybe a future video idea? Just something I'm curious about
Don't worry about this guys teaching, he complicates life for you. If you listen closely he often makes up stuff that "sounds" Christian but is of another spirit. Preach the Gospel, that is where the POWER is. I use to be involved in spiritual warfare groups for 30 years and thought i knew what i was doing. This guys teaches the same stupid stuff i once believed. I cant believe how deceived i was. Praying is also powerful but we have no authority given to us personally. Let God do the spiritual stuff as he knows every single detail while we pray to God for HIM to do his work for his glory. While we preach the Gospel and teach repentance. Our job is simple and we ALL can do it right from the time we are born again. This guy makes it a complicated mess that no one ever understands. It is all based upon his "feelings and experiences" then he adds scripture to justify his feelings that can not be tested. He IS being extra Biblical, he adds to scripture and he takes away from scripture. He is deceiving many and sadly i once taught the same.
@@jake3510001 i think he was right on with scripture. I think the bible is pretty clear about the authority we have. Of course it's not us ourselves doing it. We are ambassadors and God does it through us. I have also felt impressions when there is dark stuff around. It is definitely a real thing. It is so prevalent in the world, but in America it's subtle because discernment is a growth area here. Hearing imaginary voices in your head and just maybe it might have been God if you think hard enough, jump through hoops, tune into some mysterious wave length? All of which are not biblical. Or do we go to the very word of God, The Bible is Gods prophetic word. It is verifiable, testable and equips a believer for everything. If you are imagining God is speaking to you giving extra Biblical revelations that can not be tested how would you know it is God or the devil? Never forget the devil comes as an angel of light, he appears as Christ. What are you going to do when you find out you were deceived because you trusted strange voices in your head? Remember many will follow another spirit to suit their sensualities. Scripture didnt warn us so much about the church being deceived. If you are a true born again believer, you have nothing to worry about when it comes to "Dark stuff". You are obedient to Gods word yeah? That's it then. You defeated the devil because of your obedience. No special chants and incantations, no religious Hoohaa. Pretty simple. not much to remember. Anyone can do it. But wait, if you are talking to someone with a demon do you think you really have power over it? Even if you thought you did how do you really actually know it is not playing games with you? You dont know. Thats how they want you to think, they deceive and you have no idea what they are thinking. So dont bother trying. Preach the word, tell people they need to repent and turn from their wickedness and put their trust in God, Once they are born again the devil can not EVER touch them whilst they are obedient to their father. Simple, no drama, no 10 point plans, no books to read about spiritual warfare. You be obedient (Resist evil) the devil will flee, he has no choice. This way you focus on preaching the gospel, discipling people so that the yare not led into false doctrines like this guy teaches, and serving people with love. Let God deal with all the spiritual stuff we cant see, he knows what is going on you dont.
@@jake3510001 I see. Thanks for clarifying your position. I believe we can hear from God and the way you test it is by comparing it to the Word. If it goes against the Word, then it's not God. The Word is our anchor. Not worth arguing lol I am sure of my salvation, and I am also sure in the fact that I can receive the Holy Spirit's guiding when the bible does not specifically speak to my circumstances. I would just encourage you to not throw out the baby with the bathwater. Yes, there are some wack-os out there with false deliverance ministries, and sounds like you had a bad experience, but that doesn't mean that demon deliverance at the hand of Christians, empowered by God is not real. @@erickdiaz6152 I am not doubting if you are saved but i advise take advice from people who challenge you in areas you never been challenged. Most do not. Most follow after myths and delusions seeking signs and wonders. Jesus tells us what the Holy spirits role is and how it functions, your version is like mine once was but it is not scripturally accurate. No i didn't have a bad experience. I enjoyed what i had until everything began to contradict itself. Scripture never contradicts itself and the Holy spirit is NEVER in error. As i researched contradictions i learnt scripture interprets scripture thus never contradicting itself but this made me see how i was deceived by a false gospel. Now i see far more power in the gospel than ever before. I can assure you know with 100% accuracy that you have no idea if God is speaking to you. You only hope he does, It is how you were taught to think. So was i. I relied upon hearing from God but even that became inconsistent and as the years went by it became a struggle to keep some semblance or logic. It was like the scales fell from my eyes and i could see another power far greater then the pathetic one i had been living for so many years. Since then i had to battle over coming the brainwashing i had lived. You do not hear voices from God and if you do you can never prove it is truly God to me nor yourself. You have no way to prove it. And like you said, if it lines up with scripture never forget the devil uses scripture. He can suck you into all manner of false teachings when you leave the bounds of scripture. And if you understand how the spirit of God works no you do not need "special revelations" That is the heresy of Gnosticism. There is mountains of false teaching that sounds biblical. We were warned over and over again about it but no one truly tests anything. Some people have discernment as a gift but not many listen becasue they are deceived by Cleverley designed myths. Many Christians do not understand scripture but claim they hear from God. I hear from God, i hear his powerful authorities voice every time i read scripture. it is perfect, it is testable and it is verifiable. Any voices in your head is adding to scripture, it is like you are in the dark, outside, blind folded with people all around you with night vision. They can see perfectly but you are searching for God outside of his Holy prophetic word. You are not satisfied that the word is enough so you need more, more , more. It becomes a drug and you can never get enough, you never quite make it. Today i have complete confidence in Gods power, i have all the faith he gave me to achieve his will. I am victorious in all things because of Christ and i dont need to beat the devil again and again and again just to have him back again. Who keeps letting these demons out after they been bound? It is nonsense.

If you're a believer and wondering if you are demonized in a particular area, how do you know if it just requires repentance on your part or deliverance?
I did and do both. Repent often. Did self deliverance via Derek Prince book and also deliverance with a Deliverance minister. I had been in new age etc so I think I needed the deliverance. Deliverance can happen through reading and studying the scriptures also.
Great question Tucker. First, I would say, simply, ask the Lord. 1 Cor. 12 mentions discernment of spirits. Even if someone doesn't have that gift, I think if someone is praying about themselves on this matter, God will mercifully reveal it. Second, I would say that if you've had unforgiveness in your life for a long time, there's a solid chance of demonization (Eph. 4:26-27). Another example would be unrepentant sin, which caused Saul to be demonized (1 Sam. 18:9-10). That's not to suggest that all unrepentant sin leads to demonization, every time. I'm just saying that it leaves a "hole in our armor" as I like to say (Eph. 6:10-18). It leaves us vulnerable. Last, if you find yourself returning to the same unholy patterns with ferocious repetition, that can be evidence that it's more than just your flesh manipulating these patterns. It could be spiritual. Hope that helps!

I always feel I’m not perfect enough in my walk to heal or cast out spirits. But when I’m confronted with a sense of evil, I become very emboldened. But the angels/sons of God- The princes/principality/chiefs do battle! But Satan did not put them in place- God assigned sons of God after Babel! It is not sons of Israel- it is Sons of God. There was another rebellion- this was addressed in Psalm 82, which Yeshua actually quoted to those who accused Him of blasphemy.
I so appreciate this Genesis 6 response. It wasn’t something that would place “all others” in some sort of anti-intellectual category. How can we believe that angels took human form in Sodom and Gomorrah? Yet, Genesis 6 seems so far fetched.

This Formulation God's inspired identification and unification on this is happening before your eyes in genesis especially after David through Solomon on through judges by the time of Jesus it is as we know it theologically. Their is a great number of historical works both in and outside of academia on the simplification and unification of the pre davidic world and after on the subjective . You must understand the context in The time of judges is truly learning simplification and how identify this ontology and its practical physical and spiritual doctrine. Its being developed and refined in gensis and through judges. John Sanford argues from the pronouns Luke's version of the demoniac that Jesus was not asking for the demon's name. He was asking the man his name and the demon interrupted. Luke refers to the demon as 'it' and the man as 'he' or 'him'. They conclude that, with no examples of Jesus asking for a demon's name, we shouldn't do it either. Thoughts?
Could it be that Jesus preached to those in prison is ‘Since before He came There was No savior and after the cross He preached to those held in captivity and on that day hell was emptied and the only ones there today are those who are there after The Cross. I don’t believe anyone there refused What Jesus preached and I don’t believe He didn’t give them All a chance to get out. I’m not a scholar But a follower since 1978 and that makes the most sense to me even after Dr Storms explanation.
A born again believer can not be possessed by a devil. Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. 1 John 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one TOUCHETH HIM NOT. We are SEALED. Your inner man can not sin. Remember, a possession a take over of the SPIRIT. It's not mental. Our spirit is regenerated and living, whereas an unbeliever's spirit is dead. A quickening spirit has the same resistance as a dead one? It's not that the devil can not share a space with the Holy Spirit. That's not the issue. If God is acting in a capacity of PROTECTION, he can not come near. For example, the devil can not sit on the great white throne of God. Yes, GOD is omnipresent, but the enemy is not, and God creates boundaries for the enemy. So that argument is extremely weak. The pastor contradicted himself twice. He said he cast out a devil by giving the gospel. Well, if a born again believer can be possessed, why should conversion oust a devil? Then he quotes 1 John 4:4. 1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Because just a few verses earlier in Mark 9:19 that’s what he’s rebuking them about. What the heck?! There is a huge difference between being oppressed and possessed. A born again Believer cannot be possessed. If someone says they were saved and then got possessed, something is very wrong. Either they aren’t really saved or it wasn’t possession. Once you are saved, you belong to Jesus. Period. Nothing can snatch you out of God’s hand. It’s the whole reason why satan fell like lightening. You can’t have the Holy Spirit living inside of you and be controlled by a demon. Matthew 12:43-45 43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. 44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. 45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. The word iniquity is in Greek anomia. Meaning lawlessness/without law. Meaning the law is not written in their heart- the new covenant. Having a relationship- He states “I never KNEW you.”
Like going by this logic Paul didn't know Jesus because he cast out demons. Every prophet in the early church didn't know Jesus. There are plenty of charlatans who do some of this that are lawless. I've come across people that charge like $500+ dollars for like an hour, there are wolves like that out there that probably don't know him but there are people that I believe are genuinely saved, that know Jesus that cast out demons and prophesy cause the bible shows that. When the demon entered Judas it was because it allowed for God’s purpose to be accomplished. The devil did it but it was only to serve the will of God.
So you are saying Dr. Storms that a person that is demonized or as you say a demon indwelling a person, is not the same as saying that person is demon possessed? So for clarity what does indwelling mean to you? I checked the meaning of indwelling and this is what it says: "permanently present in or spiritually possessing someone's soul or mind" Also I see no harm in saying a person is demon possessed (controlled by). I am not a Doctor of theology and a scholar as you are but just an ordinary man like the Apostle Peter was...just a fisherman, but I beg to differ on this teaching. Not saying you are wrong, but many bible translations use the term "Demon possessed" and if you are saying this is wrong then the whole bible is wrong. BTW: which bible do you read...the version? I have prayed in the spirit and wrestled with God about this and I am at peace with saying a person is demon possessed. And I have seen demon possessed people do incredible things you will not believe, like eating glass and sitting in a fire and not being harmed at all. To God be the Glory.

In older English, saying someone was “possessed of demons” simply meant that he had demons. In the same way, it was once to common to say that a man was “possessed of great wealth,” or that a woman was “possessed of great beauty.” But this has now become archaic. As a result, we’ve developed some confusion about what our English Bibles are saying about demons.

We just really need to bilieve we have the power of God within us, and we have the authority to command devils in the name of Jesus. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. How can a Christian be demonized if that person is born again in Christ Jesus. I think a christian can be temoted tormented or even latched but never in yhe same vessel of the Holy Spirit. To be in The Holy Spirit is to be sanctified and made holy through christ. Its a little too open ended for Dr Sam to say what he did about this (in my opinion)

We are saved by grace not works, not all who claim to be born again are Christians-Matthew 7:21-23. A Christian can be oppressed or influenced but not possessed full control by a demon because greater He the Holy Spirit-1 John 4:4. Their are word descriptions like possession not in the Bible but it doesn’t mean it isn’t an accurate description, like Rapture, Trinity and Homosexuality for example. Identify the sin which is the name so the person can repent and accept Christ’s will. 1 Corinthians 3:16 1 John 1:9 Romans 3:22
