I was riding my bike right now throughout the city with this album in my ears and this song came on and I said to myself “WOW.” This song is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful electronic songs I’ve heard in a long time , and yet still so danceable. This is what I want to hear at 3am on the dancefloor when people are in their zones. Gorgeous track.
Now 53 I haven't been clubbing long time, growing up with Depeche Mode, Joy Division, New Order, Gary.Newman ,Skinny Puppy, Front 242 , ,ect ,ect But when this track plays, I'm aaaall over it baby 😎
This song epitomizes everything I love about music. It takes me back to nights I had 20 years ago, it takes me back to weekends spent with the best people. Some still here, some not, some not in my life anymore. This track goes down in my top 10 of all time for MY reasons.
With bicep, every song has its own realm, it’s own aura, it’s own unique blueprint. I was obsessed with drift, then glue, then lido and then now this. They all are intensely different but all give off the most celestial, spiritual vibe. Biceps songs are a sound umatched. 🙌🏻
People need to understand an album is an artistic statement. Not every track is supposed to be a banger, and the Bicep boys aren't really about banging anyway - if they were, they'd be making Drumcode techno. The fact you CAN bang to their stuff is something else entirely - the reason they did a full album for Ninja Tunes. I like the track and I'm sure it has a special place on this album.
Yeah, i'm really looking forward to what they do across the space of an album. I certainly wouldn't want a whole LP of " Aura " but I will be disappointed if that is the only real highlight.
the voice in this track "sings-for-the-body" that is the percussion, it doesn't overload it, complements it beautifully; the heart is in the instruments
it’s weird how most of us living on Earth will never meet or even acknowledge each other’s existence. for example, if you’re reading my comment, this is probably the first and last time you’ll ever see me
It blows away the old skool sound of 90s by miles. It is so different in its entirety. It blew me away seeing them live. Only Mark Archer at boiler room eclipses it. But then Mr Archer IS the original master and creator of most of the dance sounds of the 90s. Certified Genius and a True Legend on the scene. Deserves a knighthood. Same as Slip matt.
I don't usually listen to music with volume at 100%, mostly it's only at 30% but when I heard this the first I put the volume to the maximum, I felt I need to hear it through my bones. Thanks Bicep for your work
Every new Bicep release feel likes I'm discovering a new magnificent country, except that it can be found anywhere. Glad to have ordered that double LP, it's promising.
This is 1995 please take me back to Rhyl to butlins Ayr to Marmaris turkey 🇹🇷 to Mallorca with the guys , semple brown and his bro amazing times never ever to be replaced or repeated, the music is Art.
This song honestly gives me every time the chill, coming with a unique feeling: a sense of delusion, mix with a feeling of liberation; a sense of nothing matter anymore and yet everything will be allright. Thank you for this master piece, looking forward to see you live.
Wow oh wow radio 1 played this and I could have screamed..i fell in love with how deep this sounds.. I have shared on fb because this needs to be heard... well done...😁
The thing about bicep, for me anyway, is they've a full album sound. Reminiscent of leftfield, orbital, chemical bros. It's not about singles on singles on singles, it's putting out a body of work, going out and playing it like fuck, building a fan base.... And then doing it all over again. Just like an actual band would. Fuck yeah. Gimmie more.
After 5 or so listens to the album this is my favourite - the vocals are hypnotic - followed closely by Kite and Aura. What a rare album. You done us proud boys.
Miss nine Remixes brought me here... This track (Depeche Mode (Dixon Remix) Cover me, starting intro), following up with this track: BICEP - "VALE" is just excellent.
I love this one, just love it! I found you guys while song hopping here on YT, i think i just listened to Forest Swords "Crow", and i decided to give "Glue" a listen, and i fell in love with the track instantly. I then listened to a few more tracks here, for free, and i decided to buy your album, and it was money well spent! I do hope you tour in the UK soon because i would love to be there! All that said, if that bloody Article 13 comes into play, ill probably never discover new music so easily, not rare gems as Bicep!
At first I was quite deceived by the "pop" aspect of the tune. Usually I don't like that much house tracks with other lyrics that simple samples, because of their "casual" aspect; which isn't bad in itself but often goes with a lack of innovation and deepness. Here I first felt that BICEP had chosen the easiness; but by having listened again, again, again, again and again; I now know that this is one of their best songs: the percussions are just excellent, the bassline is really good too, and the voice brings a lot of smoothness to the final result. Can't wait for the rest of the album !
Incredible. What a fucking tune. Grows on you, more and more and completely agree with Marko. Stop expecting fucking bangers, what happened to buying albums 10 years ago and letting the tracks grow on you, We're overstated these days. If you hate it, fair enough, but i don't see how you could if your into bicep as this isn't a major detour from there sound, just different. Maybe your opinion is they have done better, listen, no artist is that much of a fucking genius to knock out a killer track on every release, it aint possible.
