Another great scramble at Bicester today, only one left for this year and we have to wait until October! Enjoy the video, hope you like the cars I’ve selected to focus on.
I was there! Amazing cars and amazing group of Porsche GT3RSs among many Lambos and Mclarens, but the best car for me was that 'LEFTY' painted 911RSR right at the end here.
Thanks for watching and commenting. The Scramble is only three or sometimes four times a year and it does flush out some excellent cars.. from a one off Jaguar to a rusty Morris Minor and a rare Autobianchi Y10 4x4. Next Scramble is in October and I can’t wait!
Hi. Im viewing from New Zealand. Excellent car display. So many that I liked. The Alfa Romeo Alfetta , the BMW 520 , and the green Saab I liked in particular. Thanks from Carl.
@@Lot76CARS Yes. I'm sure it is the one. I need to go through some papers. If it is then it was given as a company car to my mum who worked as a rep for Goldenlay eggs. When she received her next one she was offered that one at a reduced cost so I bought it. I only had it for a year then moved onto something more me: an MG Metro Turbo. Love the content by the way.
To be fair, the car looked absolutely immaculate, I may have seen it before previous events as well. I do hope it’s your old car it would be fantastic to know it had survived so well!
Many thanks for filming the Jaguar CX75. A real missed opportunity for Jaguar. F Type was OK but this was top of the pile bar none. Tried to get a ticket to the Scramble but sold out. Strange as watching your film it looks like the Mary Celeste there.
The show was actually busier than it seemed, but the number of cars in and around the complex was much less than before as you now need paid membership to gain entry, where as previously names were drawn from a hat. Ironically a lot of my favourite cars were actually in the general parking just outside!
Ohhh I know something you don't!( That's got to be a 1st). The styling on that Maserati Sebring was the work of Vignale. Ok. I'll fess up. I had a chat with the owner ( had it 26 years) and asked him. Well done on turning the video out on the same day. You've been a busy boy Simon !
Enjoy your videos, i usually attend Bicester, but sadly i can't do the whole show due to mobility issues so glad you're doing these & with details on the motors
@@Lot76CARS of course! Got a few little fixes to get done first - I only picked up the car the day before! but I’ll send you a message when they are all done 😃
The last time I saw a McLaren F1 was at the NEC back in the 1990,s. I really like the Nissan 300ZX. They always did look great but seem not to be held in the same high regard as some other Japanese sports cars. From memory I think.the 300ZX headlamps found their way onto later Lamborghini Diablo. The Fiat 126p (often referred to as the Polski Fiat) I think.remsimed in production for longer. I love the Triumph GT4 with its custom aluminium body. The idea of building a coach built sports GT is something I find very interesting. The early R5 turbo is a rare sight indeed. These earlier cars had aluminium body panels omitted from the Turbo 2 if which were produced in greater numbers. That Masserati looks stunning. You are right about Gerald Palmer designing the Riley Pathfinder and the MG. I too discovered this after spotting the similarity with the position of the door handles. I've always liked the 205 XS, by all accounts on a twisty B road they are almost as quick as the 1.6 GTI. I've seen that Mazda on an old version of Gran Turismo but don't think I've ever seen one at a show. The Citroen XM still looks modern today and not many cars can pull off gold paint as well as that does. Alfa Montreal is a rare sight. I've probably seen only two or three over the past few years and all at Italian car events. They can't be very many Delta S4 built, I've only ever seen photos and video.of them. Pure Group B madness. There is a Honda City like that one near me and the owner has the motorcycle that was designed to fit in the boot. You are not the only one excited by the MK1 Espace. I believe the first three generations built by Matra are all glass fibre but the MK4 was built in house by Renault from steel. I never knew there was a four wheel drive Autobianchi, saw a Y10 at FOTU a few years ago but that's the only one I've seen. The Swallow looks like an interesting car. Another great video Simon.
Thanks Mark, I agree the Montreal is a very pretty car and was unusual to see in that colour. I was surprised how many unicorn cars like that Autobianci Y10 were around. Hope you can get a review of that Honda City near you, wouldn’t that be something!!
Hello! The Y10 is mine. Thanks so much for featuring it. 🙂 I imported it (from Venice, ironically). It's been off the road for a few years so this was it's first trip out for a while. Panda 4x4 mechanicals but with extra Lancia/Autobianchi engineering complications.
@davidrachaelworrall455 thanks for commenting, to see a Y10 is rare but an Autobianchi 4x4 is a total unicorn. Are you at the Italian car day at Brooklands, I’d love to review the car for the channel in more detail it’s a little gem!
That fiat 126 is the BIS model, that car was updated for the 1980s with a hatchback and a two cylinder water cooled engine (designed by lancia) under the boot floor They were a massive flop and very unreliable, kept overheating and had countless issues In Poland they moved over to BIS production and then quickly moved back over the aircooled 126 production
Saw you wandering around yesterday, “interviewing yourself”, so guessed you’d be on YT! Interesting to see someone else’s visit through their own eyes, as it were. A very eclectic gathering, I thought. Non-car question: great audio, and there was a bit of a breeze. Might I ask what mic you had atop your phone? It seems to do the job very well. As, presumably, did your portable power bank! (o;
Yes, wandering about talking to myself seems to be an occupational hazard! in terms of video I use an iPhone 11 Pro, combined with a Joby vlogging kit, Gorilla tripod, directional mic and deadcat not expensive and I’ve found nothing better. I tried Go Pros but cannot get on with the !
