As a HPal i refuse to queue with a surv hunter, most of the ones you find are terrible. I’d much rather take a arms or a havoc, much more consistent and reliable. The whole spec is janky and feels gimmicky to play with from healer’s perspective, I think I have about a 90% W/R agains surv hunters in 2’s, because most of them don’t have that special touch you can pretty much ignore them and train the healer down. That is why people talk down on it, it has its greats but the representation as a whole is anything but great.
@@5555S5 It feels worth to me lol, I feel like people just aren't great. I picked it up brand new and within 150 shuffle rounds I was duelist, not sure why everyone thinks its so hard. I have a way harder time on WW monk because hunter has substantially less counter matchups.
Appreciate the vid, as always! I've been meaning to ask you, any chance you could do an UI vid (or just share your addons/ui setup)? Your UI looks so clean! Thanks again!
do you typically use spearhead as mobility, like gap closer, defensively, like if you're being trained by a melee using it to get to another enemy far away to peel for yourself, or just for the damage like to open with it? Like I imagine you can use it for all of those based on the situation. Maybe you can spearhead across the field then harpoon to healer and trap, then open who you wanted to open. But I was wondering what you suggest using it for new surv players, as well as what you personally use it for the most part. Thanks a ton! can't wait to watch your next stream!
You have the complete right idea man. You can use it offensively or defensively, it's not wrong to use it either way, as long as the situation calls for it. I've noticed when playing your brain will kind of automatically realize this and just use it ideally when you need to. I personally just wouldn't open with it, I like to use CA when I open since you get more damage out of it. "using it to get away from another melee" is probably when you will find yourself using it the most, it's just awesome to have burst on such a good mobility spell.
Brother, I am new to playing Surv Hunter and I see that you are the best, I need a complete guide from you on what to do after reaching lvl 70, items, trinkets, etc. Thank you so much
This may sound very silly and i apologize, but how do you survive with poor heals? I can do a good amount of damage but have issue in shuffle living as everyone loves targeting hunters. Not sure what i am doing wrong...
need to play in a way where you don't take a lot of damage, the enemy team forced to hit your teammates by playing safe and far in the opener - after your teammate has used their defensive cooldowns people are usually less excited to attack the hunter that has all of theirs left
Thank you! Just broke challenger II. Its rough because i am a clicker and dont use addons lol. Too old to have patience i guess. But, the tip helped greatly! Respectfully, Rockitt US Dragonblight
Eh, it's not clunky once you play it and figure it out. It's high skill/high reward. Not saying you don't know your class, this is just the opinion of me and my survival friends.
@@jayfaulkner2602 patently false. Even when mm had double tap it was woefully underpowered Vs other classes. Worse heals, worse resets, only stun tied to a clunky pet, only real source of big dmg was aimed shot which is a stupidly long cast time. Now compare that to ret Pala, DH or rogues running around two shotting people from a stealthed opener. Wise up man.
can't speak for 10.1 (nobody on planet earth can predict ANYTHING since there are so many things that are changing) but right now id say bm is better yeah
