Simply swapping out your pedals allows more flexibility in riding, storing your bike, getting your bike into a car-even walking your bike. See how, and then think about getting some for the bicycle you have now.
not so sure about that, perhaps if you have a regular normal bike, but a premium high end nice bike, they will still do the effort. amazon can get you decent pedals for 20 bucks
@@bekhele True, but thief would not be able to ride away fast from the site of theft, they would have to walk that bike home and ample time to catch them.
This is what I've always wished for. I ride in my work boots, and like pedals to wide and thin, because the boot soles are hard and thick. I'll be watching to see watching Wellgo in the future. Both my bikes need this. With an extra pair of crank pieces one pair of pedals would serve both bikes. These removable pedals also help security. About half the bike thieves want a bike they can ride that very hour. If no seat or pedals, one's bike won't be chosen. Nice front tire on the bike in the picture.
Bill, we've got these now at Flatbike.com. And yes, we've folks in NYC especially are tuned in to the idea that an inconvenient bike with no pedals at the time is less likely to get stolen.
Do these exist for road pedals like SL, Look, eggbeaters etc? To be fair, the shaft of the pop-off pedal is thinner than the standard one, so the strength argument may not be as strong.
