Good morning, I love this video and i wish to perform this conversion on my 50's bicycle . Question, could you please share a link to for instance aliexpress for the components required, this lens, power led and bridge rectifier + condensator are hard to find as the specs are not known to me. I thank you kindly in advance for the effort taken :)
Excellent hack and upgrade! Have MIL to additionally try using a helmet (mounted) light. The light tracks where she is looking, not the direction that the wheel is pointed. This is an amazing improvement. Much better visual information = much safer.
17:21 Could you please tell me the name of these lenses or where to find them? Thank you BTW, 1 diode would be enough and you would have less voltage drop. Also using a resistor and a zener diode wold be a good idea to limit the voltage, or you can use a transistor current follower but in this case i believe you might need a full bridge rectifier it depends on the Frequency you have and the capacitor value you also have
Great video mate! You covered almost all aspects. I wish you had also measured the total DC voltage output without any load attached. Optionally, a 1000uF capacitor would condition the output to a slightly brighter light/ reading.
Awesome stuff, it would have been great to make a mod with an accumulator for stops due to traffic lights when the led stop lightening, I am thinking about it. Keep going, great video !
Hello, look awesome !!! Could you please advise to select the right 4 bridges rectifier ? For information : For the led I found on Amazon with key words "LED 1W" And for bulb with key works "LED Lens 1W". I choosed and angle of 120°
I damaged this light because i converted it to direct battery system because the dynamo was not working properly but i connected the light to the laptop charger which damaged it and not turning on ,it was working perfectly with direct battery
