Really love the simplicity of this great artwork..This workshop looks like heaven to me...the hands of the bikebuilder are so confident and efficient..it looks like years of experience...l imagine this work is satisfying to do...lt is very satisfying to watch...that design of frame was very common in Europe from the 1960,s onward...l think there are some manufacturers still producing them in China and India..thanks
This brought back memories. I've brought back so many bikes from the dead. Some were trash that I made look so good they were stolen. I especially liked when you were relacing the wheels. I have the exact same spoke wrench! You should've taken some steel wool to the rims and handlebar though. Otherwise very nice job on your cruiser.
👍hebat mekanik SPD unto Hanya sekilas Menjadi SPD klasik menarik Sayang BPK yg mengerjakan koh ngak diperlihatkan wajaknya Salam sehat tetap berkarya Ikut melestarikan peninggalan nenek moyang kita👍
She is a rider again... very good. I have done a similar thing to a 50 year old boys bike... I have never seen a brake system like that before either. 👍
Very well done. It's not a restoration- it is makeover . Nice colours and style, I would clean and polish that handle bars assembly. It's so old and rusty and it's clashing with the new looking bicycle. But cool!
A nice job, but why oh why not clean those handlebars up before putting them back on? Also, he doesn't seem to like using spanners, just a pair of pliers and an adjustable. How much damage did he do to the fresh paintwork banging around with the pliers?
Même pas refait à l'original, plus de garde boue, plus de porte bagages! Il aurait été mieux refait comme avant! Quand à la peinture,c'est un vélo pour le cirque???
Ok, I knew Germany is a third world country. Just some days ago I used such an adjustable wrench to tighten the fork at one of my bikes ;-) I think for those big rarely used sizes one adjustable wrench makes more sense than spending a lot of money for a whole bunch of big ones, that take a lot of space in the toolbox and get almost never used. Lately I noticed the adjustable wrench sometimes even makes sense for smaller sizes, because nowadays some spare parts get delivered with such soft and unprecise nuts that the individual wrenches slip through.
I would have left the original color. All that was needed was cleaning of the frame and other parts, as well as rust removal or exact part replacement. I commend you for the effort. I’m going to restore an Eastman Tiger. It’s very similar to the bicycle in the video, except mine has a double top tube. It came from India. I live in California but found a website in Wisconsin that sells replacement parts for it if needed.😁
