As he neared the end of his State of the Union address, President Biden addressed criticisms about his age head-on, and said his years in public service have provided him clarity. The president said he has learned to "embrace freedom and democracy."

One of the greatest Prime Ministers in British history was in the 19th century, William Gladstone . Elected four times (not in a row) and on his last day in office was 86 years old. All accounts were that he was still completely with it and relatively fit.

Fantastic presidential speech addressing key points in a clear, very focused and determined manner. Very confident president who deserves a second term. If the border and immigration are as critical as GOP insist that it is, then refusing to accept the best deal they have had in decades is ridiculous. This is a problem Trump and the GOP want to demagogue, but not to actually fix. If they think they can do even better under a Trump presidency, then pass this law and if Trump does win, then nothing would prevent him from coming up with his own proposals for the border and immigration. GOP only say they are concerned about borders and immigration, but in fact they only care about Trump's electio, so they have been refusing to pass this law for several months so that Biden can be blamed for immigration problems. ***

Was never much of a Biden fan prior to his presidency but have so come to admire this guy. What a champ! I got fed up with Trump and the Republican Party by late year 2017 and changed to Unaffiliated voting status. I voted for Biden in 2020 and couldn't wait for Trump to leave, but I truly wish Trump no harm. Trump is just simply not presidential material and his agenda is stuffed with vengeance, among other things.

I fully admit that when Biden got the nomination in 2020, I was dubious that he was really up to the job. I have been pleasantly surprised by the things he's managed to accomplish in his first term. And, if I'm being honest, I hear a LOT of Bernie Sanders in his ideas and I can live easily with that. I don't understand why so many people in my state vehemently hate Biden. I just don't get it. Everything he's doing is helping them, too, even if they fail to see it.

lol.. Biden has such a great personality. I dont care about his age. I dont care if a president has a physical disability. What Biden does have, is a belief in the same America that I also have a strong belief in. Its never been how bad we've f*ck up.. And God knows we have done our share over the decaids. It's always been the way we come back. That is also why we gain respect throughout the world. Some world leaders may not like Biden. Some countries may not like the United States, but they damn well respect us because of presidents like him. trump was never anything more than a world wide joke. He never got respect.
