Honestly, if I was in the journalism industry, I wouldn't have attended the event. The U.S. government's hypocrisy in standing up there talking about how much they value freedom, freedom of speech, and freedom of press while also prosecuting Assange and arming Israel's brutal murder of Palestinians, including journalists (especially journalists in Gaza) is embarrassing. The U.S. doesn't go to the lengths that Russia and North Korea go by any means, but to say or imply that those in power don't target people who speak out against them in America is nonsense. I'll listen to the comedians, but frankly don't want to hear government officials in America talk about something they claim to value but only actually care about when it suits their interests. The hypocrisy and two-faced nature of America continously and increasingly gets exposed. Stop funding Israel's genocide against the Palestinians! Period.

They seem to have money to fund foreign wars and expensive unnecessary dinners but yet the country is on its knees. What's trump got to do with anything? You see thats the problem with politics there's only 2 choices, what do you do when the 2 choices are as bad as each other? I work for myself so unfortunately I don't get very much time off. I'm not miserable I just care about society i'm merely remarking what an out of date activity a political roast is when they are close to starting world war 3.
I think political humour and satire should be left to the comedians. In my opinion politicians on both sides should spend more time talking about their policies and adressing the issues facing the people rather than taking jabs at eachother. Leaders on both sides need to do better.
