The republic has worked for 230 years until now where we are trying to make it a democracy and it is failing. This is the def of republic and democracy because most people don’t know the difference. Democracy: majority rule no matter what. Why this is bad you ask? Think of a linch mob. That is majority rule. The only one against it is at the edge of a rope. Republic: majority rule but you can not infringe of the rights of others and to know what the rules are you write them down and name the pice of paper “constitution” and their you go. It worked well for 230 years we have just had bad presidents corruption and absolute garbage the past 12 years and now the shit is hitting the fan and we are becoming more like a democracy or a dictatorship rather than a republic.
