Liberals might vote for RFK, conservatives won't. I like RFK, but I don't like his policies on important issues to me like gun ownership. Most conservatives who don't like Trump will hold their nose and vote Trump over Biden. Now if the choice was between RFK or Biden I'd definitely vote RFK over Biden.

I think about 45% of US voters now, are Independents. Thanks for bringing up that very important point. An extremely large group of voters has been alienated by DNC and GNP alike.

Like I said I personally like RFK but I don't like his policies, I could never support someone who doesn't honor the 2nd amendment. The 2nd amendment to conservatives is like abortion to democrats, it a major issue, and RFK is on the wrong side of that issue to ever get my support.

This is largely because of who is getting polled. RFK Jr doesn't go on mainstream news very often, and the MSM doesn't cover him. Boomers don't really know about him besides the hit pieces MSM occasionally puts out. So of course, when boomers are polled, he polls low with them. The younger generations who are more likely to favor him and know about him from podcasts are less frequently polled and tend to not show up to the ballot.

There are only two major political parties in this country, and one of them has gone off the rails and offered up trump. Third party candidates come and go, Anderson, Clark, Bergland, Paul, Perot, Browne, Nader, Stein, the vote only helps one major-party candidate or the other. I’d vote for RFK (he’d make a great leader) but unfortunately the third party candidate (or independents) never win. I can’t waste a vote on a him, we need a leader not a puppet who is being manipulated by world elites. Personally I think it’s a shame what Dems are doing to Joe. You can vote for Kennedy in the general election regardless of what party your in. So I switched my registration from independent to Democrat so when my state has their primary I can vote uncommitted against Biden 😊

@@presence5426 anyone with the right to vote can register in any party as long as you do it before the election. But it doesn't really matter if you're registered in a party or independent when it comes to the general election, as long as you're registered to vote you can vote for Kennedy or any other candidate running. Only time your party registration matters is when you are in a closed primary State like New York which requires you to be registered in a particular party in order to vote in the primary for a candidate in that party. That's why I switched my previously independent registration to Democrat so I can vote uncommitted against Biden on primary day. Just one small way of expressing my displeasure in Biden's Administration and the DNC for rigging elections in his favor.

@@presence5426 in any state you can register in a party, register independent, or register no party preference. Some states have Open primary elections which means that you can vote for any candidate regardless of what party they're in to nominate them for their party in the general election. My state of New York has closed primaries. Which means that I have to register in the Democratic party if I want to vote for a Democratic candidate in the primary elections. You don't have to worry about it if you're planning on voting for an independent candidate because they don't hold primaries to pick a single candidate to represent them. Everyone that's an independent is a separate candidate and if they're able to be popular enough to gain ballot access then they will be there to vote for. Kennedy is currently working on ballet access and doing a wonderful job of it so far. There are a few States, like california, that have made it extremely difficult to get ballot access for candidates that aren't party candidates. So Kennedy is taking advantage of a loophole in their state voting laws and has created a new political party, named We the People Party, for the specific purpose of getting on those difficult what states ballots. If you are a candidate and a party their signature requirements are much less. So he's not starting the political party because he wants to have his own party, he's doing it solely to gain ballot access and then would likely dissolve the party because he wants to put an end to the party system. But in order to end all of these problems, he has to work within the system and use it to get to the White House in the first place.

The fact is Kennedy's numbers aren't much affected by his Israel position because he has pretty much the same position as both Biden and trump, except for that Kennedy doesn't really mean it. The Israel Lobby is threatening his family and his own life. This started before October 7th when he testified in front of Congress and Debbie Wasserman Schultz put a bead on him and that disgusting on holy shmoly muscled him into saying the most ridiculous statements just so the entire Israel Lobby wouldn't start torpedoing his candidacy by labeling him as an anti-Semitic hater.

Although I myself do vote in down ballot elections for third-party candidates as much as I can because every time someone votes for them the organization gets more credibility and a bigger piece of the election funding pie. Which gives that party more money to attract better candidates to start at the bottom ranks in local government and work their way up, get some experience under their belts
